Disagree. Unlike any of the below teams (bar Geelong), they haven't either lost an away game that they should've won or been comprehensively beaten in any of their away losses (ie they were competitive in their losses to Hawks/North/WB)

-Eagles- flat track (more like home track) bullies, enough said
-Hawthorn- embarrassed in their only interstate away game so far (v. GWS)
-Sydney- impressive win against Hawthorn and respectable loss to Adelaide in Adelaide, but also lost to Richmond
-Bulldogs- lost to GWS and Geelong
-North- lost to Sydney
-GWS- lost to Adelaide/WB

Geelong are the only exception- they beat the Crows in Adelaide , but then went on to lose to Carlton and Collingwood  . But then again, they also lost to GWS (albeit narrowly)

More importantly, they have yet to record a win against a fellow top team away from home.

The only teams to do that are Geelong and Sydney
But they've both lost games they should've won too
Having said that, I rate Sydney a class above all the others

-Hawthorn- embarrassed in their only interstate away game so far against a decent opponent (v. GWS), and didn't exactly smash Brisbane at the Gabba either
-Sydney- impressive win against Hawthorn and respectable loss to Adelaide in Adelaide, but also lost to Richmond, and were unimpressive against the Lions
-Bulldogs- lost to GWS and Geelong

We lost to North, we haven't played Geelong yet

GWS lost to Geelong, they beat us

Apologies as this has no doubt been asked. But is the flagpole a better predictor for the GF only, or all finals?

Forecast has North beating Adelaide in week 2 of finals, but flagpole rates Adelaide the higher team. So when does flagpole kick in?

For regulars of this thread has the squiggle predicted the premiers each year?
Started doing it last season with the current algorithm, but if you look through previous years, he's posted predictions.

It started off as:
1. Team A vs Team B as a post
2. Squiggles season + finals prediction (using ISTATE)
3. Something before flagpole
4. Flagpole
5. Squiggles season + finals prediction (using OFFDEF)

Agree. Watching the crows fairly regularly, the home ground seems to be far more prominent than other contenders.
How so? We lost to North, Hawks and Bulldogs by under 4 goals away from home, we beat GWS by 4 goals at home but also lost to Geelong at home by 4 goals.

We pumped Richmond and Gold Coast away from home and St Kilda at home.

Nothing there suggest to me that we have a huge home ground advantage (compared to other interstate teams).

West Coast in perth is a huge game for us next week. Win and watch the flag pole rise...
Given the Crows are ahead of us on the flagpole , it's a big game for us too for that reason
Can't wait :D

I agree with you, but I can understand why a Sydney fan would think differently though ;)
