My PS3's been screwed since the start of summer holidays. Dust built up on the disc laser, now it won't recogonize any type of disc. Including the disc laser cleaner.

This happened to me eight or so months ago. There's no way around it, you'll have to get it repaired. Sony will ask a small fortune for the fix, so try and go to a (trusted) electronics place. I think it cost me 200 dollars or something. In retrospect, I should've just sold it... I barely play it. I'm heavily considering buying AFL Live, but I just quit my job at Target, and i'm saving for my [double] gap year.
