Tell yourselves what you want, but no need attacking vegans about their life choices to validate yours. People are touchy because as soon as you "come out" as vegan or vegetarian, your life choices are being questioned. People complain about "militant vegans", "militant meat eaters" are no better. I do not fall into any of those camps by the way.

Who’s attacking vegans?

No doubt it is up to the individual, but let's not kid ourselves that many in this demographic have not been hysterically judgemental of non vegans at times.

The pontification ledger is well & truly in their favor.

Lol. He’s slow for a fast bowler. Not exactly power
Was a vegan when he took his hat trick at the G.....powered by bananas!! I'll retract this further......just went back to page 2 for where this has come from...too much water under the bridge (or over the road depending where you live).

Ah, a good old vegan yes or no debate.

Never heard it before from both sides.

Just like I didn't know Pendlebury played basketball.

Or Mark Blicavs had a background in steeple chasing?

Nup, didn't know that either. Mason Cox is American by the way.

That’s funny, I thought he wasn’t a half chance in 1600m at Flemington provided he had blinkers on

Vegans are worst type of campaigners to deal with.

Worse than terrorists.

I really do wonder about their tactics though:

This kind of thing doesn’t really improve their popularity or assist their cause

She's not exactly wrong though. I think very few people actually consider how the dairy industry works.
Having said that, I've thought about it and made my peace with it. Almond, rice and soy "milk" is for the tip. I can live with the slaughter of several thousand bull calves for a good cappuccino.

Most dairy farmers treat the animals better than their children
Cannot speak for all of them though, I get it but sometimes I really think they get counterproductive with the way they go about it is all

These are dairy steers, and they look pretty content to me. Sure their time will come when they are off to the Meat works just like their "beefie" cousins over the back but it wont be for a while yet.

Not one single top of the game world champion in sports where power is necessary is a vegan. None. If being a vegan was at all beneficial they’d all be vegan. But they aren’t because it’s not. The best they have is some steroid munching German who only turned vegan in 2011 after he already had his gains.

And how can you do without a fine vintage cheddar?
