Buddy will be done for the season and conceivably a good chunk of next year. I believe that he has done his PCL which means that one of the names we have been throwing around is now well and truly off the table.

With Roughy still to return and Buddy gone for maybe half a season, I think that the Hawks will be trying to hang on to Lisle and hoping that he will come good next year.

Lisle might still be a go, as the Hun reports that Buddy has only jarred his knee....fingers crossed, hate seeing players go down with major injuries....( and I don't want the hawks to get scarred off a possible Lisle trade ) :D

He seemed ok. I would do a trade for, but i doubt he will be this star. 3rd round selection Number 50. I don't see much champion forwards not getting selected after early Round 2 at best.
 
Bewildering how they make a full time living out of AFL and don't actually know how to kick a ball. A soccer player could kick a sherrin through the big sticks any day from any angle....don't get me started on game sense and knowledge.

Ben Reid sprayed them just as bad as his brother in front of the sticks.

Move to the backline appears to have given him so confidence to go long with his kicking.

He is definitley gone now, confirmed by Trigg today we stripped him of the Mark Bickley award as it wouldn't have been a good look for the club, and they don't want to reward traitors. Absolutely pathetic from Gunston, good luck to whatever club he ends up at.:thumbsd:

How about our second rounder just to maintain the good faith we have after last years trade?
They'll want a mid to late first rounder.

Player wise? Not sure.

Adelaide fans might scoff at that but i've never seen the guy play.

I've never seen him play either, but if Splendini likes him, that's good enough for me.

I guess it is all relative as to how our people see him as to how much they're prepared to offer.
My best guess though is that we may be happy to get 20-22 year olds right now, rather than an 18y.o.
 
Gunston is a relatively light-framed, mobile lead-up forward....193cm, certainly not a gorilla, but a nice lead and mark, agile, good at ground level.....I think in time we have two positions to improve upon in our forward line......deep gorilla who is a good contested mark and a tall mobile, lead up forward to replace Waitey.....initially Gunston would probably be playing for the same spot as 1AW but in time could be a decent Waite replacement. I read somewhere else he is favouring Kangas or Hawks.

Someone "in the know" suggests that Essendon is after him heavily and that he has spoken with Hirdy already.

Same person (on the Rumours board) is suggesting that Dangerfield is also likley to jump ship.
