I just got some awesome news today about my tax refund... almost twice as big as I was expecting, so many cartwheels and backflips were indulged in*.
Since my boss is giving me the shits at work and I'm leaving the country in 57 days... I might just go and tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine next week. After all, I deserve a holiday before my holiday

Apparently Andrew Orsatti was doing a bit of commentary on some of the games, I think he did one of the England games. He is actually a half decent commentator, but never had a chance to commentate behind Hill at SBS. Worst thing was after the game where he threw back to the "SB... I mean ESPN studio"

Though one analyst who I have actually liked from SBS this year has been Francis Awaritife... though given how much I despised him as a player, its not hard for him to improve in my book

BTW Les Murray is an embarassment to football. Him and Foster should be locked up and be banned from commentating on any soccer games..its Australian players FTW for them..or EPL is crap we prefer boring boring defensive Italian football..we cream our pants on tactics even though Man Utd and Liverpool won the UCL in recent times.

Craig Foster I have no idea why he thinks like he does. A handful of games for Crystal Palace and he is Diego Maradona.
The best example of this was the Roma vs Manchester United game last year in Rome. We won 2-0 thanks to first half goals from Ronaldo and Rooney, and played a pretty good away from home match with a sensational result. But in the analysis all you could here was that Roma where sensational on the ball, movement etc... blah blah blah, and occasinally Manchester United also looks ok...
I dont like the constant English games being shown first on SBS. Would have much prefered to see Inter vs Bremen first compared to the expected drubbing Liverpool handed PSV. Reina barely touched the ball all game...
I think Dom said it, cant be bothered quoting, but I also notice that ESPN is pathetic when it comes to broadcasting games, it just doesn't look clean and it looks so amateur. Bad camera angles, strange colour, just doesn't seem crisp like foxsports coverage is.

Haven't seen much of this, but if its true that is utter rubbish what they are saying. Italian football, even though I do follow Juventus, is nothing compared to the premier league or the la liga. Who cares that Italy won the world cup, they play boring short passing defensive football (although England isn't that great either, domestic comp is great).
I also hate how the news always say things like "Australian Brett Emerton has picked up a yellow card" etc Not something like, Adebayor scores a brilliant brace (if only
) or Torres shreds up a team, its like everything an Australian does has to be picked out, although I am an aussie I just think its stupid, might just be me Finally, the worst commentator was Ned Zelic, hands down. I don't know who watched the world cup 2006 here on SBS, but did you even listen to him. "I think that Australia can win if they score more goals than the other team" seriously it was that simple.
