Random Things on Your Mind (Part 5)

As some of you know, was made redundant last year in November. Took up a contract position at a great place in January. Sat my interview to get the job permanently this morning. Leaving for two week Hawai'i holiday on Monday, will find out via email on Thursday next week whether I got the job. Lots of gushing internal referees in senior management though. Very nervous. Really want the job, I love the job and also love making mortgage payments too. Otherwise, will spend half the holiday knowing I'm unemployed when I return.

Phew, nerves are slowly returning to normal. Thanks for letting me vent, everyone. Like you had a choice.
Wow... nerve-wracking few days coming up for you. Lying on a beach sipping pina coladas on the outside... while your insides are doing somersaults.

Hope it's good news followed by an awesome Week 2 of partying!

This morning our dog died after 13 years of begging for food, whizzing in the hallway, sexually assaulting her plush toys, refusing to chase the ball in the yard, and snoring like a horde of chainsaw-wielding banshees on angel dust. She was buried with her favorite toy and a bunch of chicken treats that she loved eating.

Yoyo the shih-tzu, it took me a month to teach you to sit and shake, you were always in the way in the kitchen, and you shed more hair than Bigfoot. We will miss you.

If any of you have a dog, please give them an extra long pat today for me.

Board bans are, in theory, for life.

In reality, if you keep your nose clean and give it a significant period of time (a few months?) you can try asking nicely to be let back and you're half a chance.
Nah they don't need me if they want to be that insular, it was one little comment. They rest of my posting on their board has been complimentary.

Funny post Deaenus, and I feel for you.
A dog is definately a mans best friend and I lost one after 12 years when it was hit by a fast moving vehicle out the front of my house. Shovelled the scattered remains into a wheat bag and buried her down the backyard whilst crying my eyes out.:( RIP Nipper and Yoyo

May last year we lost our family cat of 16 years, I had long since moved out of home, but moved back cause the family were away for a couple of weeks to look after him, and he passed away while I was looking after him. Was a horrible experience and still miss the little bugger to this day.

This bloke very recently went after 11 years...

poor phone footage but he prefered to be chased when he had a ball or a toy rather than bring it back.

I buried him with the shirt I had on when digging the hole and comforting him in his last moments. They rekon when you leave your dog alone you leave him with something that has your smelll on and they rekon that comforts them. I applied that theory to graves as I believe in animals have a strong spiritualness.

Planted a heap of acacias' around him. Trying to locate a hardy flowerly shrub for directly above, conditions up here are a bit more brutal in summer.

I wonder now what he thought of me yelling at the TV when football was on?

His name is Mcleod.

Jesus, academic majors are a pain in the arse to finish.

One due today at 5pm, and I've been nit-picking at it since 9!
