Media Rare Reptilian Catches All 300 Games #HawkAussie300

How time flies. I swear it was only yesterday I was writing about this guy reaching 250 and yet, here we are, celebrating his 300th. This Sunday, Dragons FFC's own HawkAussie notches up his 300th SFA game, which is certainly no mean feat.

HawkAussie can be a man of few words but also does not waste them. He also had this pearler in our team PM in September 2022 showing that he's a Dragon through and through and does not care for any insignificant 'other teams' in the SFA:

Indeed, indeed, HA. And better yet, HOW are the Ophidian Old Boys?

Anyhow, with a Dragonair Pokemon as his avatar you can divine two things: That he's a Dragon, and likes Pokemon. But that last part may be an understatement, as HawkAussie is one of THE preeminent Pokemon experts on this entire forum (which says alot given the amount of nerds around 'ere).

Dragonair is described as "the Dragon Pokémon. A Legendary Pokémon that can freely make it rain or snow", which might explain the weather we copped during Season 32. Speaking of seasons, as we can see from the breakdown of his seasonal stats below (courtesy of sweetfa.plus), HawkAussie has been around the league for quite some time:

As we can see, HawkAussie actually started out as a Bomber (hiss, gasp) all the way back in Season 14. This is surprising for two reasons: one, he isn't a Carlton supporter, and two, he doesn't smell bad.

Anyhoo, 20 games was obviously more than enough as a Bomber, despite them winning the flag that season, as HA then moved onto the FireChooks (then known as the Hawks) where he had a much longer stay before finally joining the good guys (that's us, by the way) in Season 28 during AceAndy's reign of terror. A good move, as it turns out, as HawkAussie then got to experience two more premierships. He has also been quite consistent; while HA will not usually post up a storm, he's always done enough to keep himself an active player, hitting double digit games in every season bar S32. A shining example of longevity and not burning oneself out, for sure.

Random fun fact: HawkAussie has played exactly 69 games with yours truly. Nice.


So here's to you, HawkAussie. 300 games is one fine achievement indeed
