Even assuming they both play every week.
2008 - Armitage kicked 10 from 13 games with limited time on ground. Not a huge stretch to see him kick 20 for a season.

2008 Allen Kicked 0 from 4 games. A significant improvment to see him kick 20.

So maybe I would want Allen to kick more goals than Armo, but I don't expect it.
But that's why I bumped this thread. Allen was a third round pick, and as Squizzy replied to me, probably because he will need more time to develop.

If Allen gets a season as good as Kurt Tippett ( Crows 17 goals ) did this year I will be reasonably happy.

lol was looking at our goal kicking and realised Fraser Gehrig bagged four against the blues this year :o haha carlton

But yeah 10+ games and 10+ goals from Allen would be great, 09's only his 3rd year. Should probably stick him and Big Mac up forward in the Nab Cup and see what they can do.

Would love to see Milne snipping at Mac trucks heels... Both Jarryd and Mac seem to fly at the ball pretty well so could work;)

I felt Allen added structure to our forward line. We looked better with him there even though he didn't score himself.

He got his break whwn Milne and Dal were dropped (Rd 13 v Freo). He also played Rd 14 v North Melb, and Rd 15 v Carlton.

He didn't get into the matches like we all hoped he would, and was dropped after the Carlton match.

Later he was called up to play against Collingwood in the semi final match.

Allen is yet to play in a losing side for the Saints.

He just needs one good game I reckon. Had a great contest against the Kangas on the GC when he split a big pack in half out on the wing. Macca showed enough to me in his one game that he will be a good player.

I tell you what, if these 2 boys stepped up and became regulars then we will go deep into september. Throw in a Yarran in the HFF/MID area and we are going places. Defence is solid but we need to keep developing Gilbert into a FB and fill our CHB position. Goose may come back we don't know.

What's the deal with Howard? When will we see him?

Howard is SERIOUSLY QUICK so I look forward to see what he can produce on the field (other than the occasional freakish tackle) at the highest level. I hear tell that he hasn't shown as much as had been expected of him, but then he gets the two year extension early - so maybe Ross sees more in him than my mate does.
