Aside from his nice goal Dow looks like he really needs a spell in the twos.
I'm not sure what he gains by going back to the VFL. I like that Teague is playing him forward mostly. Its a tough spot to play.

People forget that this kid is coming off a knee reconstruction, no preseason and hasn't even played 15 AFL games yet.

He's coming along nicely.
Yeah was good yesterday. Reckon the wet and slower conditions levelled the playing field with him as he is a little slow by foot and not as agile (coming off a knee will do that). Kicking was much better as well. Just gotta pump games into him and others and get the rewards later.

Gotta admit I wrote them off early and figured there would be little chance of coming back. I was wrong. I'm happy to be wrong and am so pleased that these guys showed so much steel to hit the front, lose the lead and then play out the game to the final siren. Special mentions to Ed, Murph and SOS.

And, we've got some great support in WA! Thanks WA Blues, loved that support and the roar at the end! Happy Monday fellow baggers.

Capt cripps said it was a good opportunity for someone to stand up in his absence. Murph saw his chance and grabbed it!

We just need this effort from our mids when Cripps comes back

The WA Blues are brilliant! Ever since Mike Fitzpatrick, Kenny hunter, buzz, Earl, Richard Dennis and other WA rippers played for us, the support in the West has been second to none.

Warms the heart to hear the WA Blues supporting our boys. Well done [emoji106]
Have been to WA a few times and the WABlues are amazing. The support the players get over there is bloody brilliant

Just my opinion on his game today, woeful disposal. I don't care about Brayshaw or the fact it's Walsh's first year. Comments all based around this game only. Today was one of his worst games. If dow did what he did today with his disposal the knives would be out.

Honestly watch the game instead of stats. Most of his ‘ineffective’ disposals were hacks out of congested situations. He played very inside. I felt he could have kicked it better maybe 2-3 times.

Plowman doing a number on both Cameron & Walters has been a significant factor in our 2 recent wins. He still needs to tidy up his game & eradicate the bad errors he makes but his bread and butter is his defense and has taken good steps forward in that area.
His double spoil at the end was superb.

Just thinking about it, have all Samo's half dozen best performances come in wet (or at least greasy) conditions?
His game against the Doggies earlier in the year was Marvel, but yeah off the top of my head he does seem to enjoy the wet conditions

If I’m not mistaken you were complaining on Thursday evening after the team was announced about the non disclosure of the injuries to Crippa and Harry given that you had booked to travel there. Correct? Complaint dismissed. Lol.
I live in Perth Percy but yes I wasn't pleased, I am now..

Umpires were good today. We received at least three free kicks today for incidents near or over the boundary line. I suspect that McGovern's push on Guelfi last week will have rightly tightened up the awareness.
There were several jumper holding incidents (some for us and some against) and one blatant block (which sent the Freo fans nuts) all correctly paid.
I suspect that for some fans "prior opportunity" continues to be poorly understood.
I was scanning thru, waiting for a comment on the umpires. I wrote in the preview forum last week, hoping that Walters getting off might have provided an ever slight edge for us. Lets just call it Karma. It was a great win which we deserved, but was still happy that the free kick count was 19 to 13 our way. They still missed a few, but at least it looked reasonably fair.

I have not looked at the stats once since the game let alone during it, I watch the game. Disposal was very ordinary all game. Effort was top notch but burned the ball by foot, especially when he had time and space. He got the ball a lot on the outside or with time and butchered it. Im not saying he is a crap player or a dud etc, but yesterday was a very poor game by him compared to his other game.

And the WB game he had Cripps giving it to him on a silver platter, yesterday he was going in and getting the ball and multiple efforts. That spoil early was my highlight for his game, full length dive in front of the leading player, awesome and great mindset. Do think he likes a wet track

Paddy Dows goal on the run

Bam Bams set shot from outside fitty

Kreuze knocking the Christmas stuffing out of Fyfe

JSOS slotting set shot on a tight af angle

SPS and his Goldberg style WWE spear tackle

Daisy ******* Thomas soccer style

Ed C with 4 million clearances

L’oB the enforcer

Walshy a lazy 30 and 8 tackles

Old man Simmo splitting the sticks

Plow took the sunshine off Sonny Walters

Marchy huge

And these are a few of my favourite things 😍

What's Murph gotta do to make the list? Was some goal!

So let me get this straight, you wanted him to have a 30 possession 8 tackle game that was less error ridden?

Yes, his disposal was off but remember we are talking about a kid in his first year who is achieving things never seen before at AFL level.

Late to the forum Monday morning as usual.
How great is this winning feeling.
I know I was hoping for an upset, but didn't see that special win coming against all odds.
How great was Liam Jones after a long spell. The whole defensive unit is really good now.
Really happy for Kennedy, that he was able to contribute in some telling moments.
And hats off to all our senior players that have come under some heavy criticism, such as:
Murphy, Casboult, Daisy and Simmo. They all stepped up, showed leadership and helped us get over the line.
We had 10 scoring shots in the last quarter. I hope we take this momentum into the Demons game. Back to back wins would be divine.
Go Blues, you beauty !!:thumbsu:;)
