A Quiet Time is probably my favourite mission

Yes that’s how far I am into the game, I’ve had work and helping my sister move house since Friday

Going for the Gangs of New York style now I've hit some decent money and towns.

just uncovered some illegal business out the back of the doctors. Walked in and everyone started shooting so I gunned them all down then had to flee valentine with the sheriff chasing me

A lot of businesses have illegal stuff happening. If you find out about it you can rob the store without the sheriffs being called

Saved a woman with her legs trapped underneath a horse. She asked me for a lift to Valentine because her ankle was twisted. I accepted and waited for her to get on.
She just stood there then said never mind and then she could get there without my help.
I wasn't going to tell her she was going the wrong way.

Same woman ran off after walking into my horse because I was “attacking her”.

I was bringing my nag closer to make it easier for you woman.

I’m getting close to what I believe will be the end of chapter 3. Some of the missions are a little repitituve (to be expected) so I’ve started robbing a lot of trains.

Robbing trains is great fun. Haven’t gotten away with one yet though.

I’ve maxed out everything at camp except for the boat. Honestly, it’s not really worth it except for the fast travel but even that isnt super useful as a lot of missions start from camp anyway.

Oh and I think paying off bounties is a waste of money. I haven’t paid one off yet and am wanted everywhere for between $300-$500.

The only effect if seems to have is a mob of bounty hunters come after you occasionally but even these can be pretty easily outrun. I can go through Valentine, St dennis, strawberry, etc without any dramas from the law.

Ok that’s good to know

Hey people which is the quickest way to get cash

I’m close to middle of chapter two

Rob trains in my experience.

The normal gang bangers are only usually carrying a couple of bucks between them so looting them for dollars is a grind.

But the folks on the train will normally be giving you $10-$15 each worth of cash/watches/jewellery etc.

I’m sure there’s quicker ways looking at guides and walkthroughs online but I want to resist this for at least a few weeks

The amount of totally random shit that happens is incredible

I haven’t played today ....my sons birthday he wanted a Nintendo switch .....they’ve hijacked the lounge ...

I’m going through RDR withdrawls .....shaking lolz

1 Get childrens excited about an extended holiday for them and mum at the grandparents' house
2 Pack 'em off pretending to be sad
3 ?????????????????????????????
4 PROFIT!!

did you get the gun?

At some point I suspect it'd be nice to buy yourself a homestead, somewhere warm to display your hunting trophies and gun collection, and a stable for your horses. But maybe I'm dreaming.

I think they are under different categories, Food is "provisions" and Pelts are "Materials".

If you go to Pearson (Food guy in camp) he can craft upgrades so you can hold more. But before he can upgrade you need to go to the camp ledger and buy tools for him.
I recently killed a cougar with a good pelt. If I give it to Pearson, does that contribute for whatever the cougar pelt gets me in terms of upgrades?

Have you upgraded the leather tools at the ledger?

Not yet. I don't think I have enough camp money to do. It's around $250 from memory?

Do you advise selling stuff for your own pocket or donating to camp?

I just found 2 gold bars and practically upgraded the lot. If you do the leather tools one the cougar pelt can be turned into a satchel etc rather than just being sold for cash.

I do both.

I haven't found a huge benefit for donating but then I've also got 2k in gold atm so not exactly strapped for cash so can afford to donate but only ever do like $50 here and there.
