I can’t remember exactly where I was on the map now. I was on my way from Valentine to rescue Micah (which I’d left to pretty much last from chapter 2). So south west of Valentine?

Apparently some white icon missions (side) disappear after progress in the main missions. So tip is do the white ones first

Been playing nearly all day today and finally turned it off due to an early start and NFL in the morning.....

Now i am in bed thinking about nothing more than the game and what to do next as I am nearing completing Chapter 2.

Not many games have me this engrossed in them and it is fantastic!


Witcher 3 and Skyrim have a competitor now to the thrown of awesomeness and Rockstar need to be acknowledged for a great game and this is not just GTA on horseback.

Get the cash available early with the treasure hunts mentioned earlier in here. That cash is massive regarding gameplay and upgrading the camp and your own weapons.

I still have a feeling later on a camp/gang member is going to go rogue and **** everything though.

Stuff that as the game takes cash off you when you die in free roam.

Blackwater is banned for now especially when I have a huge bank balance and it is like they are begging you to go there!

Nope. That's how I lost my horse.

Happened to me too. I lost it on a mission. You can claim it again at the stables in Valentine but it will be as new and back to level 1.

I encountered a KKK meeting taking place. It was a bit of a gag, they were burning the cross but the guy doing got himself and a few others set on fire and they burned to death. I chased the Warlock of the meeting down and killed him, got some notes about the meetings.

What do you use your cash for?

I only have one more upgrade at camp to do which is where most of my cash has gone. I bought some clothes at St Dennis but haven’t upgrade any of my guns...

What else could cash be useful for?

Has anyone tried to rob a bank yet in free roam? I tried in Valentine but there is a guard standing right there plus it does give you the option when you speak to the teller.

Was a bit disappointing unless I’m doing it wrong?

Encountered a lass whose horse had died, so I gave her a lift to where she needed to go.

She was telling me her life story before I accidentally rear-ended a tree, killing her instantly. Stashed her body in a thick shrub, but was eventually found out by a witness.

It would be great if a lynching mob came after you. Like to a point where you almost couldn’t out run it like you can with the bounty hunters who come.

I think $500 is the cap on bounties

I absolutely love the game but agree the mapping of some of the controls is awful.

My thumb is sore from constantly tapping/holding x. I wish the horse would just continue its speed once you’ve reached it and you don’t have to do anything

Controls are definitely the weak point. Takes ages to search for stuff, to pick stuff up, lots of reports of gamers accidentally firing their guns and running townspeople over with their horse, etc.

I'd recommend switching to standard FPS controls if crouching is annoying (the only difference I've noticed with standard FPS is it switches crouch and sprint, so you run with L3 and crouch with X, which seems easier to me).
