I can understand their frustration though - rebuild for 6+ years, all their A-grade stars are in their twilight and they still cant kick enough goals at home to get over a middling side. They have been screaming for forwards for years and the best they can do is recruit false messiahs and former ruckmen.

I would be ropeable if that were us.

I was a big critic of the coach before he even got the job. The way that process was poorly handled is just classic Cockburn things

Serong for mine has been a bit of a let down so far this season.
Touted for a break out year, it's been left to Brayshaw to do all the heavy lifting in the midfield in both games.

I actually thought there were good signs for them. They move the ball quickly and it almost looks like Longmuir’s taken bits of our gameplan over there.

Play the wings. Contested marking options down the line as a bail out. Make sure the ball is in Young or Clark’s (Hurn and Jetta) hands plenty, and always look to switch it to the open side to quick blokes like Frederick and Switkowski (Ryan and Willie).

They looked dangerous early but couldn’t put it on the scoreboard and made basic skill errors by foot. They’re still a very young side so you’d expect that to come eventually.

Their midfield is also lacking without Fyfe and Mundys size which isn’t ideal going into the future. A lot of middling accumulators like Serong and Brayshaw. What they would do for one of the King boys instead of Lobb as well.

Thought there were good signs outside of the skills. It all kinda went to shit when they lost Darcy too

Honestly, no more excuses. They should be seriously challenging for a top eight spot this season.

I hope they don’t mind you but anyway. Reading their board does put a smile on one’s face, they are so full of bitterness and anger. Bless x

Yep, I'm okay with losses (in a funny way) if the effort is there but the execution is lacking because we're playing the kids and top ups. Let's face it, given the awful injury run and COVID protocols we had little chance of beating any AFL side yesterday but the smiles on Simmo's face during the game shows that him (and many if not most of the fans) are happy that we gave it a serious shot with a severely depleted side.

I feel bad for the guy. Was an absolute gun and super young when he won that premiership and became an elite player. Was an amazing inside/outside player and super consistent. Then his body just wore out when he was in his late 20s.
