Richmond are a great team. They'll play 100% against good teams to ensure the win (us last week, Geelong next week), they'll play 60% against average teams to ensure a win and conserve energy (Freo tonight, Adelaide next game). They have navigated through their condensed fixture amazingly.

People just don't have the emotional investment in Oppo teams. When they win, we look at the score and go yep, they're good, doing enough to tick them off, professional. When we do it its a bunch of people having a melt about how we're so shit.

Very interesting match tonight.

Richmond are looking very flat, but Longmuir's tactics may have exposed something.

Fremantle are preventing the Tigers from having options out the front of stoppages and are then using those extras on the defensive side to gain possession.

Seems simple, but it has been very effective so far tonight.


Massive effort from Fremantle coming off cross-continent travel on a four day break as well.

Hawks era sucking off here. Every throw is play on, every cannon into the defender is play on, any high fend play on then whoever big boy was from Freo does one and its pinged. Positively remarkable how in the umpire head Richmond are. Seems like yelling at them literally every stoppage has its benefits.
