Both teams looked dead set average in that last quarter.

Granted, the tempo was high and players were tired, but both teams will need to improve a lot on that if they want to overcome Port at the very least.

To be honest, as much as it pains me to say, if the Eagles don't get there I wouldn't be upset if Port went all the way.

They were in top spot for every round of the season - and like us, only got to play 7 of 17 matches in their home state despite no COVID (or even restrictive borders such as in WA). In my opinion, they've earned the right to be where they are now.

On the other hand, it still does not sit well with me that Brisbane have played 15 of their 18 matches in Qld this season.


That said, I would still rather see the Lions take the premiership than any of the Victorian clubs.
