According to Injury Update, Rhyce Shaw is scheduled to return by week 7, an extra month and a bit than anticipated, as his estimated return was this week.

Rhyce's injury bio says "Ruptured his left ACL last year in June. Collingwood have now given an estimate return around week seven of the 2006 season."

So, according to that, Collingwood have ruled him out for a longer recovery period. As usual, these injuries are 10-12 months most times. Ben Hudson injured his knee late last season and is indefinately back, and career may be over, considering the big man may not be back this season.

Sometimes a source of comedic jealousy from opposing supporters, but Collingwood FC fans know his true worth.

Hope to see him out there soon.

It's good to see Collingwood err on the side of caution.
The last thing we want to happen,is he returns too early and does his knee again.
Knees normally take about 12 months(maybe a bit more) and plenty of physio to heal properly.
It doesn't take much to re-injure a knee after reconstruction. All it takes is a slight twist when applying force to it or landing awkwardly on that leg to cause more damage.(re# Luke Darcy)
I know this,as I'm about to go for my second knee reconstruction in 12 months. And all I did to bust it a second time, was go for a run along the beach(uneven ground).

Nicholls has suprised everyone i think. I thought he would be last considering his size, but he has done very well...if anyone deserves the promotion...Nicholls is the man...but yeah, good depth i guess.
