Don't mind this strategy - always good to get a few early touches I say! Nothing worse than going straight to a HFF at the start of the game and staying there all day - can be hard getting a kick! SOSOS works well down back - he is always involved, with at least the 1%ers, and would never be mistaken for a witches hat! I just want to see some positives up forward this week - some signs for the future! Will someone new kick 3+ goals for the day and announce themselves as a forward?

Can't be unhappy with those changes.

I like Graham and hope he has some big games and extends his career but him missing for lamb/sps is fair enough.

Glad to see lamb return and Kerridge remain in the team.

Kerridge played well and I thought Graham was okay; personally think Graham offers a tad more than Kerridge - Kerridge is more prone to errant disposal. Still believe that games should largely be won on form. Having said that I think both Kerridge and Graham are currently on the verge of being displaced out of our top 26 players.

Just me or is it quirky and unfair that our opponents Adelaide, Melbourne and dogs next week all have 9 day breaks coming into their game against us??

9 is a lot...especially since we only had 6 day break vs Crows so 3 days less...and we only lost the game in the last 10 minutes.

Seems a bit unfair to me.

I see Graham as potentially having more upside in the future as an inside midfielder, but Kerridge undoubtedly had a better game last week and deserves to stay in the team. Agree that both should be fringe, but we don't exactly have great depth in the midfield so both are earning games on merit and I don't see any obvious replacements.

That's what I thought, but remember Bolts instilled a mentoring program. Perhaps White is McKays mentor?

If not, I think I'd be a little flat that White was the one to do it given the history of the club!

Surely Swan would jump at the chance to do it!

Problem is ... we haven't had a great player wear the number 10 in close to 40 years.

We had a player shine in the jumper.

McKay is still very raw...he has not demanded selection with his VFL performances.

We are all hopeful he will become a star similar to danniher and hipwood but let's be real, his VFL performances have only been ok - Good.

I think McKay is suffering from the VFL team losing players to the Senior team and injury. VFL starting midfiel had Cuningham, Graham, Kerridge at the start of the year, now Palmer, Graham and Boekhorst ...
If the VFL gets thrashed, McKay and the club still benefit by exposing him to 2-4 Senior matches this year.

Sooner be losing but sticking to game plan and growth, than to be winning just for the win. Does that make sense?
