5 mins to go, the comms say only bad things can happen from here when the game is already won, enter zerrett who slings sparrows head into the turf in a pretty meaningless tackle. This better not be a week in all this will day / Gary Rohan furore

Going to fun to see the dribble from media flogs who gave us no chance to win this. When we beat the Pies next week, people will take notice!!

In football, you're never as far away or as close as it seems. Last year compared to this year is proof of that. There was commentary about us being 5+ years away from success - you couldn't help but eye roll.

Great win and one of the best performances I've seen post-saga. Yeah, it will be a long road - but we are on the right track.

i think the snelling inclusion is the most important one. even in games we’ve won we’ve lacked tackling pressure & i think today he stood out not only because of that but just general pressure which allowed langers & drapes to have success
Perfect replacement for Davey with the pressure he put on

Great win. Loved Langers game. We seem to be a much better team when Philips and Draper both play. I think that was Merretts best game for the season so far. Snelling was a great inclusion.

Following up on my post last week; I hate 4:10 games, as I have to try and make dinner at halftime. :innocent: Tonight was creamy mustard chicken with chargrilled broccoli on a bed of rice. I nearly messed it up though as I was very distracted by our tense but exciting 3rd quarter, where we somehow managed to keep them goalless.

Ok, serious reply now. I actually don't know what to make I can't tell if they just turned up and decided to give a 70% effort for the first three quarters (they controlled the centre square in the last) or if we just bossed them by outrunning them and having an extra number at most contests then were able to slice them with excellent ball use.

Collingwood will definitely bring a much bigger effort next week. They will be even more vulnerable to our rucks, however, trying to counter their run off half-back will be a new challenge and continuing to try to penetrate their defence that can push too high will be a test of the mindset. With the current form of Geelong and Richmond, the next block of games might not be so bad after all!

Bloody impressive performance. Played the wet conditions really intelligently.

Put it this way; at the start of the season this is one of the games I gave us absolutely 0% chance in. None at all.

Our best win in years - genuinely.

I think our rucks put them on the back foot early. Gawn also a massive out for them he can turn a match through the air. Later on when they had to get going it was our team pressure and then it rained. Individually I don’t see us as worlds apart from last year but collectively we are a few levels ahead. Setters lock down job on Oliver was super important too.

Same. Butter chicken from a packet at this end. Lightning quick!
