What?He butchered the first 2 kicks,
His first kick hit Jamie lase out but Jamie fumbled the mark.
What exactly is your agenda?
It's definitely not positivity.

Obviously early days for Roan, but geez we’re good at identifying and developing mature age footballers (most in their early 20s) from lesser competitions - Checkers, Noble, Richards, Sullivan and now Steele.

Great analystHe’s good isn’t he? Despite the stain of supporting Carlton, he’s both likeable and watchable, and very good at analysing and communicating what he sees in footy.

This is how sickness spreads, people not staying home when they're contagious and spreading the virus.I believe I would have kept quiet and try to play through it - understanding professional sport is a ruthless industry. You can bag me for being old school, selfish or out of touch, but I'm not sure Ed is awake to the fact that he presents meekly on a footy field. There is no guarantee he will make it back into the AFL side, at least this year (which unfortunately for him, could be (a Premiership year).
Another ‘interesting’ take…He butchered the first 2 kicks, which is understandable as he's adjusting to the increased pace of AFL footy. He just looks a lot more assured and composed, and understands/executes his role presently better than Allan. I hope Allan improves, but at the moment, I would rather Steele on a wing as he doesn't second guess himself, is an elite runner, and has good skill.
This is not a slight on Allan, but feedback to him that he needs to act with more purpose on a footy field. He's not playing AFL footy to spectate, but to impact and if he doesn't 'wake up' and seize his opportunities, or others (like Roan Steele who has had to fight to be on an AFL list) will. I understand he was not well this week, but gee, a part of me also thinks - what would I have done if I got sick and just had a consistent run of AFL games as a 20 year old, in a team on top of the AFL ladder 2/3rds through the season (and a good crack at a flag)?

Well done to Roan, amazing first effort. And to Ed, believe in yourself and get to work and build your legs and core strength, ask the Daicos boys to do touch drills, to improve your game and attack the next one you receive in the AFL with purpose and confidence.
I wonder what the club would think about a player selfishly hiding an illness for his own benefit at the risk of wiping out his teammates.Another ‘interesting’ take…
On one hand you criticise De Goey for lacking the profession standards of Pendles, then suggest Allan should have hidden his illness and played.
How would that help the team?

Guessing you aren't the type who has ever tried to deliver maximum aerobic and anaerobic efforts whilst suffering an illness? He butchered the first 2 kicks, which is understandable as he's adjusting to the increased pace of AFL footy. I Believe O'Bree has had his eyes on him for a couple of years. Can't confirm that thoughSome blokes actually look better at AFL level than at VFL.
Too early to say if he's one of them.
Does sprinting to the loo count?Guessing you aren't the type who has ever tried to deliver maximum aerobic and anaerobic efforts whilst suffering an illness?
True mate..I Believe O'Bree has had his eyes on him for a couple of years. Can't confirm that though
It was a great article on the importance of resilience. Roan’s the type of guy that coaches love because he will extract every last drop of talent out of himself. The more I hear and see of him the more I’m reminded of a gun that Fly once coached and would have loved as a player I’m sure, Kane Lambert.True mate..

I thought I heard it somewhere. I need to pay more attentionYou believe?
O'Bree basically stated that in the jumper ceremony did he not?
Hopefully O'Bree used his time at Geelong to learn a thing or two off Wells.
Seems harsh.You believe?
