I hope he can show that elite level of fitness on the field. Did Kreuz get 14 for the beep test also? Very impressive young ruckmen we have also considering Hampson's 20m results and his speed he has shown. Carlton's rucks should be dominating most teams by 2010.

Kreuzer, Warnock, Hampson....i can't think of any team with better future ruck stocks than that.

Them feeding the ball to our midfield in 2010?....woah mumma.

Does anyone think that the amount of money warnock is getting payed is rediculous?

I mean yeah he is tall and has shown some skill but he is not a proven player! He definitely didn't prove himself at fremantle. I don't see how Carlton can go and put so much money into a player who hasn't even shown that he is going to be a top player yet. I personally think he will grow into a great player and be a top 3 ruckman in the competition but I can't see how Carlton can put so much money into him, when they are really just hoping he will turn out to what they hope.

So you know much he's getting paid?

Lol No I don't know.

I'm just going on what the paper and shit said when he was looking to get a transfer from Freo. The numbers they were putting up were preposterous. I mean I hope he isn't getting paid that kind of amount but Id reckon he would easily be getting paid over the 250K a year mark, which I think is far to much for an unproven player.

Well 250k wouldn't be too far off the average wage in the AFL, and you usually have to pay a bit over the odds when players are switching teams.

do you think he was going to go to the highest bidder or the lowest bidder ?

Carltonfc.com.au - Blue move was a career one: Warnock

However, the 21-year-old maintains he didn't commit to pursuing a return home until a shoulder reconstruction ended his season with five rounds to go.

"It was in the back of my mind, but I never really gave it a lot of thought until I got injured because I wanted to concentrate on playing good footy. I was happy to let the year pan out and then sit down and think about it at the finish," Warnock explains.

"I tried to distance myself from [the debate in the media] as much as I could and didn't read too much into it because most of it was all speculation.

"They were saying that I was going home from February and I never really made my mind up until the end of the year and even then it was almost a flip of the coin when it came down to it."
"Aaron was playing about 90 per cent game time because they didn't think they could afford to have two ruckmen on the ground," he says.

"They thought it took away from the running ability of the team, so there was an opportunity factor in the move because you don't want to be sitting on the bench for the majority of the game."
The lure of playing alongside brother Matthew at Melbourne was strong, but Warnock eventually came to the conclusion that Carlton was a better fit.

"I think they're probably a few years ahead of Melbourne," he says.

"The Blues have got a great list together and hopefully we can be playing a bit of finals footy and maybe even, fingers crossed, play in a premiership which would be a dream come true."
