Would need a massive finish. Was certainly there (or almost there) before he got concussed and just hasn't been the same since. Would probably need 5 goal hauls in the next 3 games to get in.

Weitering quite good today. Walsh and McKay are allowed to have an average one with the body of work they have produced.

I wonder how good Walsh would be in a contender…. Would he get as much of the ball? Would having more than 2 decent forwards to kick to and a game plan allowing him to truly be the best he can be. How good could he actually become?

And no, Carlton won’t be a contender any time soon. While the Blues continue to think about yesteryear and not focus on today, nothing will change. Naming Murphy as substitute is a symptom of a greater malaise.

What makes you think they'll replace Tex with a tall player?

He's good enough that he's the obvious choice and there's not a lot of competitors beating down to get it. Probably will be 2 smalls with Tex kaput though and Toby will be first name on the mind of the selectors.

Actually they could replace Tex with a waste of space and it would be an upgrade.
