Squiggle tips Hawks at 66% chance -- What's your tip? -- Injury Lists » -- All Rd 12 Games
Don't know because he's usually in doing the things that would knock the stuffing out of someone like Weller.
Not especially avoiding any questions, but don't immediately think I have to answer them either. But I don't accept the notion that A Pearce would have only got a chance if injury forced it. Just as with every player on the list it is up to them to get themselves selected. Duffield is no longer in the side and is not injured; changes happen.theGav56
You've made some good points which I agree with mostly. But you didn't answer Bankers point about A Pearce.
We would have never seen what Pearce had to offer this season if it weren't for injury, especially because of our ladder position.
I think Ross is overly conservative to a fault. To me De Boer is a net negative to the team. Trying out another first year player in his place either improves the team or keeps the status quo. I don't think you can get any worse than De Boer so it's a risk I would be willing to take.
I've been vocally negative about De Boer most of the season, after then tripe he dished up in the derby how anybody can think he is best 22 I just don't know.
Side note: Did we select the most unfit kids in the draft? I've seen plenty of first years kids run out full games this year. Why can't ours?
Quite true. And Moller is potentially better than Griffin and Clarke. That's all well and good and I've always admired de Boer's effort but Weller potentially has a level of skill and class as a footy player that Matt can only dream about.

Not quite correct. There was a thread started suggesting that if we lost the GF then we should get rid of Lyon because he would be too scarred and anyway it would be evidence that he is not capable of winning a premiership. There are a few on here who are anti-Lyon agitators. Which is fine, however the relentless repetition is boring, particularly the notion that Weller is realistically going to replace de Boer, and shows a real disrespect for, and lack of understanding of, our game plan. It is like suggesting Langdon will replace Griffin.this thread isn't going anywhere, no one thinks ross is a poor coach, everyone agrees he is the best coach this club has ever had and has our team playing at a consistency not seen before, we'll find out in a few weeks if Ross has changed anything to avoid another straight sets exit.
Getting 2 quarters is the toehold to show that you deserve 3 quarters, which is the foothold to breaking into the 22.I am shocked that Weller is yet to receive a rising star nom for the 2 quarters he has played this year.

It is worth noting that we are going into this weeks game without Pavlich and without promoting his obvious replacement in Taberner. An injury opportunity is clearly not enough to warrant selection, even in a situation as desperate as we have with our forward line.
The main difference is that Taberner is 2 years older. I cannot believe what posters on here expect of baby KPPs.The difference is Taberner has had chances at AFL level.
I think the coaches have worked out that at this stage of Taberner's development he's only likely to replace the drinks boy. (Thats not to say he won't eventually develop into a role player but he's a burden at AFL level at the moment)
Well this post has not backfired on you at all. What a coaching master-class Ross has just given. Awesome really.
Well we put the cue in the rack so much in the first half of the season that we actually haven't played 4 good quarters against a half decent or any team this year. If you allow mediocrity in the door, it becomes the norm and acceptable practice.Something is very wrong. I don't know if it's Ross but it's up to the coach to change things when they're not working and things aren't changing.
I can't work out how you can kick 7 goals in a quarter then 5 for the rest of the GAME.
So he is not the one picking the butchers every week?Poor skills cost us, nothing Ross did.
Haha, yes. But in reality the coaching was fine.Well this post has not backfired on you at all.
Serious? You didn't notice any things "changed" in this game? I thought our forward line was nothing like it has been. Did you post up a best 22 before the season started? What was your forward line? Did it rely on a 20 year old KPD being asked to play as a forward? Did it have a developing young player like Crozier as one of its' big hopes? How many goals did it have Sandilands pencilled in for?Something is very wrong. I don't know if it's Ross but it's up to the coach to change things when they're not working and things aren't changing.
