Cloke has shown much, much more at this stage.
Cloke for me.
Howso?
I'd say he's our most important player structurally. Watch a Collingwood game and take note of how often the ball goes through Trav before a score, or how good he is at bringing the smaller players into the game. How is Cloke your most important player?
If he plays well you win, but you can say that for pretty much every key forward in the comp. If Ossie plays well we usually win, does that make him one of our most important players?

i think ive had this discussion with you before but for the books rough in no way gets the no.2 defender each week.
most the time Rough gets the no.1 defender ie. Scarlett where buddy gets i dont know a Mackie because of his aerobic capacity.
Roughy has played 125 games for 237 goals, Cloke has played 124 games for 155 goals, this is the biggest factor that contributed to me choosing Roughy, and probs most other posters as well.
IMO I would rather the big forward playing in the fwd 50 kicking goals moreso than up on the wing chasing kicks but that's just my opinion.
For those saying that Roughy takes the 2nd defender they clearly need to watch more football, a large majority of the time Roughy plays on the oppositions best KP defender eg. Scarlett, Pears. Buddy usually takes the more mobile defender's (the defenders that can keep up with him) not necessarily the No.1 defender.
All in all it's a good comparison, but for me it's Roughy purely on goal kicking ability.
Four things.ive stated on similar threads, rougheads on IMO, 250 to 300k per year at most (as i said, IMO), also IMO, clokes on 500 to 550K per year, anyone think the collingwood football club is stupid in any way? anyone think any club in the comp would pick roughead over cloke if they could pay them the same wage? come on, get serious, clokes upside is mindboggling compared to rougheads, if cloke starts kicking str8 he could become a once in a generation player.
Four things.
1. If you think Roughy's only on 250k-300k, you've got rocks in your head. He just signed a 4 year deal and would be on at LEAST 400k (most probably more)
2. Rating players on wages would be one of the silliest ways of comparing their ability.
3. I'm sure that more clubs than not would choose Roughy over Cloke. What do Carlton, Melbourne, Essendon, Freo, Geelong, Kangaroos, Port Adelaide, St Kilda, Sydney, Gold Coast and West Coast need more - a player to go up on the wing and act as a link man between into their forward 50, or a power forward who is a proven goal kicker and will net 50 goals+ per year?
4. How is Clokes upside "mindboggling" compared to Roughy? What a nothing statement. If Roughy continues to improve he could easily be the next Johnno Brown - has all the attributes: Strength, Marking, Agility, just needs to improve his accuracy and confidence. If either of them are going to be a "once in a generation" player, it will be Roughy (although neither of them will)
Sorry but this is just plain wrong.no team in their right mind would choose roughead over cloke mate, no team.
