So it's time for round 1 2020 preview thread even if the shadow of Covid19 looms large on the season.
Swans vs Crows away from home. May the mighty Swans escape not only with a win, but also infection during travel to/from the City of Churches. It's been too damn long between celebrating the send off of 4 bloods champions vs St Kilda in 2019 and another win. Hope we don't have to wait too long for it to occur as 2019 didn't bring much luck against the Crows.
What I'm hoping to see:
- Effort, commitment and workrate
- New recruits (Brand, Taylor and Gray) make a contribution during their bloods debut
- What impact Naismith has on clearances around the ground.
- How Haywood progresses now that he is playing injury free.
- Callum Mills showing his usual courage in defence.
- Allir Allir bringing some attacking flair again in rebounding from from defensive 50.
- No 100m penalties
- A game of footy on my weekend not a Eulogy for 2020 AFL season.
C'mon Swans make us fans proud by bringing a competitive effort first up regardless of the final result.
