Round 10 Teams

This is very different. 3 taggers. Selwoods and Stinga.

I think it's going to be a game plan we haven't seen before.

Maybe more punching than tapping in the ruck, avoiding the in and under stuff.

Just hope we've got our kick ins sorted out.

The Dome.......some fresh players. Carlton having a hard game last week, and having injuries.

mmmmm..........an upset may be on the cards

I hope Swift gets a run on ball but he will no doubt be thrown onto a bank flank as well.

Forward flank really the worse position to generate high numbers, unless your team is spanking them from clearences. Keep S.Selwood on the flank for 70% of his game time and then put him in as an attacking midfielder.

I guess it all depends on our delivery into the forwards. Last week our forward line looked totally disfunctional and lost. Hopefully LeCras and Hunter will add a bit of focus again.

Oh god knows what was going on with the forward line last week. I swear we tried too hard trying to get Wirra goals than to focus on trying to win. By the time the team and coaching staff realised that, the game was already over.

Im expecting a vast improvement with Lecca back in the side.

The best team we have named all year really. Wouldnt surprise me to see Tom Swift deep in the forward line, I said this a while ago and got laughed at but IMO hes the closest thing to a natural crumbing forward we have atm.

We know Wooshas love of the tall winger at Ethihad so i expect Lynch to be used primarily up the ground and helping Cox. Wouldnt even rest him in the forward line this week. Give that job to Mitch Brown please. Bit worried about Brad Fisher matchup now we have no Brett Jones. Id give the job too Embley personally. I know it sounds strange but Brad Fisher is downright lazy and if Embers can run off he can be a creative force down back aswell as stopping him in the air. Use Wirra on Betts and let him run up the field. Ideally for me id go

FB: Nicoski Glass Wirra
HB: Embley McKenzie Hurn
C: Lynch Kerr A.Selwood
HF: McKinley Kennedy Rosa
FF: Swift M.Brown LeCras
R: Cox Masten Stenglein
I/C: Hunter McNamara Ebert Scooter

Give Masten the tag on Judd. Might sound silly but he might learn something. Use Stinger as a clearance player now Priddis is out. A.Selwood to roam of the wing and help Kerr out if possible. Lynch to bulldoze everyone, Id also like to get some mins on the wing from Hunter. Its worth a shot, If McKinley doesnt play hopefully Butler is the IN

We've brought in Stenglein to replace Priddis.

With Sideshow out, Selwood is going to have to help out Kerr more in and under. Stenglein is another strong body in the centre.

It's hardly the heralding of a new gameplan.

Brownlow + Norm Smith + MVP + Coleman?

At half time they are holding the Brownlow count and giving him a lap of honor. Then at 3 qtr time they will chair him off the ground, with Swift having given the Eagles a 297 point lead, Carlton run out of time by rucking it to themselves and running the ball into the goals to lose by only 15 points. Carlton got 47 goals straight but Swift came back onto the field to get a orange and Carlton turned it over and rushed a behind

I have watched Swift and he is a natural winger IMO. Don't expect too much though, it's his first game!

Big Q in the centre to contest the clearances and give Kerr big body protection. Please, he is good at it and the ball would be at FF before their backline blinked.

For the early knockers........this is one of the better sides we have put on the park and I feel a win is coming.

Waite is a huge loss............more important than Judd to the Blues.

Coincidence? I've watched Swift too! He's a better stoppage player than a winger. I expect 3523092 clearances and mark of the year.

It probably is one of our better sides, at Subi you would give them a better chance. The truth is though we are usually horrible at Etihad and you just never know who is going to turn up to play. It is more a mental thing with our team ATM.

I just woke up from a dream (was listening to the C v WC game being called on the radio) and the announcer was saying "It is all over at quarter time, the blues dominant over the Eagles."

Its amazing how bad a mood a dream can put you in.

Please come to play West Coast. Please?

No doubt he is good at the stoppages, Swift is excellent in close but his endurance is not up to an on-ball role ATM. He will progress to that later but he would still be in many stoppages playing on a wing and still have the engine to take care of his area.

I'm not sure about mark of the year and I'm thinking you missed a decimal place somewhere with the stoppages.

amazing how close the teams are on the ladder..and how just 1 win can put us back into the fray...let alone 2 wins!?..its not inconceivable to still finish the season quite well..with a few surprises(good+bad) from other teams..given the GF is a done deal..(one way or another)..the rest is up for grabs(putting aside tanking)..
c'mon eagles..lets go..
eagles to maul the blues in a season turning display..lynch bounces judd 10 metres on his head and dropkicks him out of the stadium..fev spits his dummy and spends the rest of the game looking for it..some eagle surprises as players step up and play fabulous fast accurate footy..the blues never recover and their season goes into decline..fev still looking for his dummy, the team still looking for judd..
the eagles ride on newfound confidence(and tactics?) to turn their season around, win a handful of unexpected games, and post an excellent ladder (9th) position for 09.
