hey adam. You mentioned 2 Joshes, Hill and Hunt. I assume you have both but are looking at upgrading Josh Hunt?

Trading between Hill and Gardiner only (leaving Hunt alone) I see three main options, which depend on the cow you trade in:

1) Bring in Playfair $194000. He should be good for a few more games (famous last words as he is on extended bench for this week). This will leave you enough cash to buy: Travis Cloke or Ash McGrath on the other side.

2) Bring in P Stewart $134000. Named on extended bench this week. Looked very good in r1 v Geelong. Didn't see him after that but looks like he didn't maintain his form and was dropped. The 9 he scored is not reflective of his ability. If in form, he looks good enough to be a useful player. This would allow you to trade in any one of: Gian; Hahn, Bradshaw, Fev, Kosi or SGrant as the second player.

3) Take a bigger risk and go for an uncapped and unpicked rookie like M Motlop or A Maric $94.2k. Upside to that (if you have exactly $10k and bring in a $94.2k player) is that you can JUST buy J Brown (if you don't already have him). Others around that level would be B Johnson or Tredrea if you are keen.


Trading EITHER Gardiner or Hill out to upgrade Hunt I would trade out Gardiner to Playfair (hopefully he will add value by playing more games), which would leave you roughly $503k to upgrade Hunt. In that case i'd be looking at P Burgoyne, Newman, Ladson, S Fisher, or Even McLeod, depending on who you have and how you feel about each of them.

with 5 trades left you need to only do the essential trades, and I don't think at this stage Gilbee is one of them. I'm giving him plenty of time and if the trade needs to be done later in the season then I will.
Myers, Cotchin and King, possibly even Simmonds should not be in your final side. Thats a minimum of 3 trades to get them out.
so if you must trade this week go with King -> Cox.

I'm planning on doing Mundy -> Mcleod. I don't know whether to do it this week or next. Mundy has a 91 breakeven, and will probably score around 60, which will see him drop 13k. Mcleod has a 181 BE, and based on current form will drop about 40k. Clearly it's better to wait a week, however with Chapman out, I may need all the points I can get to win this week. Should I sacrifice the cash? I'm leaning towards waiting til next week.

Adelaide play essendon, so McLeod should bounce back this week with potentially a 100+ score - has suffered from being tagged out of it, well... that won't be a problem this week. If you can afford the cash and need the win McLeod should definatley outscore Mundy, 20K odd is worth it if it could buy you an important win.

True that. I'm playing a consistant 1800-1900 scorer. I generally score 1950-2100 every week, but I've had a couple of 1800s, and one 1780 or something. So I'm just concerned about Chapman being out...

Hmmmmmmm decisions decisions. That extra cash could be the difference between me getting Ablett in a few weeks. I'm currently bargaining on him having a couple of 'average' games (by his standards). Thanks for your help.

Wona has peaked dopeh. Wait before you trade out Myers.

On current averages (w=79, m=62), wona is due to rise $2,000 this week and myers is due to gain $32,000. On a 3 week basis, wona is looking at $20k of gains and Myers $68k.

Trade out wona this week, and Myers in 3+ if you can wait that long.
