It's a vascular issue.

Pies star sidelined with vascular issue - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1130294
Not disputing it's a vascular issue just strange a young athlete would have one.
It's obviously connected to another issue/injury or a medical genetic issue.
The fact he's played elite level footy for 13 years hardly suggests it's genetic.
Anyway hope it's all good I'm sure it will be sorted. Plenty of depth no need to rush and he'll be up for a big September

On what? A vascular injury can mean many things.
But in a young athlete it would be connected to another issue
Blood flow/quality, hormone production/balance, ability for the body to absord nutrients the body needs etc
Holistic in nature...think along those lines.

Nothing is an old persons issue - thyroid issues are nutrient issues - stress depletes available nutrients the body can use to replenish itself.

Don't think the injury report mentions a vascular injury to specific part of the body, it says a minor vascular issue was diagnosed - likely an overall health issue - which has been said to be treatable.

The vascular system is made up of the vessels that carry blood and lymph fluid through the body. It's also called the circulatory system.

********
Certain factors are thought to increase the risk for the development of plantar fascia tears including:

Non- Supportive footwear
Flat arched feet
High arched feet
Sudden increase in activity
Trauma
Hormone problems (Reduced Thyroid function)
Connective tissue disorders (Rheumatoid arthritis)

DISCALIMER: best to ask Jamie and see if he's willing to disclose fully what specialist have told him.

It might be Jamie's or anyone else saying **** off they're private medical records and he'll play when he's good and ready.
Like I say fine no way he should release medical records.
In the meantime squad mentality. Rest Elliot up and he's position is easily filled

I would still bring in Mitchell,if fit.Having him in allows other midfieldsers like Pendlebury and Nick to go forward and help out our forward line, which is badly under strength at the moment.
Our forwardline is well stocked on small/medium forwards. What it desperate needs is a key forward and the only midfielder capable of playing that way is De Goey.

Are you bringing up old ditties again, I love it. What was that song, it escapes me
We'll drink a drink, a dink
To Lilly the Pink, the Pink, the Pink
The savior of, the human race
For she invented, Medicinal Compound
Most efficacious in every case........................

and on and on it goes!!

That's the one, you've just reached legend status in manics eyes but that isn't hard to do

Fly said he'd get an update on Jamie but it didn't seem like weeks from his demeanour.

Carmichael was injured was he not?

Hate to rob our VFL team but I'd nearly look at Dean as an in to handle the Crows talls. And apart from that, we'd just have to replace Harvey Harrison and Bytel with Ash Johnson and Shultz. It's not like-for-like but at least we'd still have a team with AFL experience.

Ash - FF (to cover Howe)
Schultz - HFF
Richards - FP
Hill - FP
Reef - HF
Macrae - HFF

Dean - Interchange with Moore/Frampton

...and then of course we wait to get back:-
  • DeGoey
  • Elliot
  • Mitchell (less urgent)
  • Mihocek
  • McCreery
  • McStay (no pressure mate! :D)
Carmichael had a delayed concussion and missed the weekend. Now his third concussion in less than a year. Very concerning.

Sounds like we’ll be playing with the side that played West Coast for at least another week or so

Outside Schultz of course who comes in for say Harrison

But I’m curious who will come in for Howe and Bytel. Adelaide is another team that doesn’t have an overly tall forward line so do we bother bringing in Dean? I would have thought the Bulldogs would be the team for that.

Kreuger seems the logical in if he’s ready for Howe

Does Allen get a debut for Bytel? Or do we think Mitchell will be ready?

Vascular?? He is not an 80 year old man. How would a 31yo elite athlete have vascular issues? Unless it's a knock on effect from a collision other serious injury or a medical issue with some other cause???
Do you really think that vascular issues are only found in old men or unhealthy younger ones..?
