I don’t think he does excel at this level. I think this is the level he usually is competitive at but far from a stand out. 3 goals from his 4 games prior to this match.

Karnezis was one a couple years ago that was in our bests most weeks but could never perform when called up to the AFL side. It's just how it goes.
