ESSENDON BOMBERS

This sport is, at times, astoundingly cruel.
We stormed back in an almost Collingwood fashion in the final few minutes to be ahead with eighteen seconds left, before a rushed clearance fell to one of maybe three blokes on their entire list who could have slotted it from 55m out. Sigh.
For all the plaudits that the Power have received this year, and for good reason, we have lost to them twice by a combined margin of 9 points.
We are almost there. We're not quite ready, but almost.
Darcy Parish could have been the hero, but ended with 0.4.
Sam Weideman could have been a hero, but shanked a kick 25m out straight in front.
Phillips, Zach, Jye Caldwell. All stars.
I can't dwell on this game.
It hurts.

ADELAIDE CROM

lol norf
The Crows' outstanding attack continued their huge year with a dominant 66-point win against the ever-irrelevant Norf, with Izak Rankine slotting 5 goals in one of his best ever games.
The Crows spread the load, with 7 players kicking multiple goals, including Darcy Fogarty with 4 and Tex Walker with 3.
Jordan Dawson is one of the most criminally underrated players in the league, and the new Crows skipper continued his outstanding season with another 28 touch showing.
Jordan Butts was concussed in an accidental clash with Callum Coleman-Jones in the first quarter which rules him out for this week.
These Adelaide kids are something special. Rachele, Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Fogarty... Whilst they may not get the plaudits in Melbourne that they deserve due to being out of the spotlight somewhat, they are freakishly good.
I really enjoy watching the Crows play, but I'm hoping they have an off day today.

The Tip.jpg

With so much on the line for both clubs, this will be a hugely entertaining contest. The fact that this game is being held at Marvel Stadium gives me some hope that with the crowd, we may have an edge here.

The cruel way we dropped last week will have one of two affects on the psyche of our team this week. We will either be crushed by it and give in entirely, or we will come out breathing fire and putting ourselves right in the spotlight for a shot at finals.

We have to hope it's the latter.

Bringing a level of competitiveness that’s turning heads and getting respect. Proud of the team. Good luck bombers. Hope you get the win.

Possibly defensible on a fast indoor deck at Marvel. When it’s pissing down and freezing like last week and we sub off the Tasmanian small forward not the butter fingers soft tall, that’s the indefensible one.
Mmm... maybe right. I just like Menzie forward. He's one of our 'lock it in' guys. Maybe the thought last week was that Hobbs could do that.

Im putting the onus on our back 6. Hep, McGrath, Redman, Ridley need to get the job done on the dangerous smalls Adelaide have. The midfield put pressure on the Crows midfield group and it makes life difficult for Tex, Fogarty &/or Thilthorpe and we make life easier for ourselves hopefully.
