Definitely look a lot better when we take the game on. Makes the dees have to defend rather than just wait for the inevitable turnover.

Our transition has been awful today. We are being out worked ahead of the ball and it's really putting a lot on our defence to stop the dam wall collapsing. Late in that quarter we started to move the ball faster and take those medium risk kicks.

A lot to improve on, just hope half time didn't upset our momentum. Another goal or two would have brought us into the break with a little more confidence.

Most important thing for Watson right now, is that he's getting shots on goal. If he was picking up a few nothing possessions, then I'd be feeling he needs more time. Let's go Wiz, get the baby monkey off you back. Throw away the g-plates.

Let the next group take over get the likes off Weddle and C-Mac around the footy.

It’s fair to say that Watson has missed three very kickable shots and had he slotted them, we’d be looking better on the scoreboard. It’s also fair to say that he’s playing his second game and has looked our most dangerous forward so far today. He knows how to make himself dangerous. He just needs the breakthrough. It’s in his head now.

The real concern is Newcombe and Nash. 6 quarters of junk so far this year from them

I get the feeling our mids think there’s less time than there is. A few times they’d spent the cheque before cashing it.

Also our off season trades have been great. Mass down a bit today but all three getting involved.

Positive - Gawn has not been the influential player he has been against us in previous games. Not yet anyhow. He usually bosses everything. He has been good but not the reason we had a horrible first quarter.

Yeah, you can only laugh with Watson at this point. It's just a matter of time before he snags one and then is off to the races.

Nash and Newcombe, especially the latter, have been terrible. They have no excuses for this kind of effort.
