Come on, we all know you're thinking it. The rage trades at the beginning of the season are always the sweetest and usually the worst decisions you'll make in the year. Let's get this running again.

Will probably make the two trades, just to settle everything back down.

Daisy > Shiels: Daisy will be a good pick for a solid average, but I just think Shiels will be better. Looks an important cog in the midfield, and will rack up the numbers. If Langford stays the the team (which he should), I'll be making this trade.

Buddy > Zorko: Again, I think Buddy will come good eventually, but not for a while yet. I was hoping he'd come out and prove everyone wrong in his first outing, but that didn't even look close to happening. Needs to settle in fully before the consistent, solid scores will come back. Will probably pick him up on the cheap again later. Zorko played in the stoppages for nearly all of the game, looks certain for an average similar to his first season.

Everyone will do it:
Viv Michie -> Dunstan.

Was always the backup plan if one of Tyson/Michie looked like crap anyway. So I don't care about this one. Plus really liked the look of Dunstan tonight. Very very eager to get in there and put his body on the line to get the ball. (Never had michie on the field anyway so his score is meaningless really asides from cash generation)

The other likely trade will just be a straight Sam Mitchell -> David Swallow swap.

Otherwise happy with everyone else. Looking forward to checking out some of the WCE rookies tomorrow though.

I want to rage trade Walker to Simpson for being a dickhead and pocket the cash.

Fixer upper rookie trades rnd 3.

Otherwise not too bad a structure for RDT.

Fantasy, I'll just copy my RDT side with minor tweaks Lol

None in RDT unless Higgins injures himself tomorrow lol (So maybe...)

I may use some trades prior to price changes if McDonough doesn't do great and another forward rookie stands up. But I'm pretty happy with my initial team, pleased with my mid-pricers performing so far (Suckling, Shiels, Hickey, Sandilands, Caddy, Tyson, hopefully Higgins does the same tomorrow) just got to take the good rookies like Langdon and Dunstan off the bench ;)

Should rename threat title to "RDT: Round 2 trades". AFL Fantasy "trades" are pointless.

I have 100k in the bank to upgrade any failures. Unfortunately both Ellis and Franklin failed so I have a decision to make. I kind of want to just save my trades but I'm going to find it incredibly difficult to not upgrade Ellis to a premium mid.

Im happy with my team, on 2000 with 2 players to play.

Trades I am thinking of:
S.Mitchell > D.Swallow
P.Dangerfield > C.Wingard
T.Rockcliff > gablett

I want to get Hibberd in my team as well. I had him in my team but wasnt sure if he would be fit for round 1, took the cautious approach with simpson.

Don't do any of these in Real DT (oh, do get Gaz in though) - go right ahead in AFL Fantasy though!

One year of 2 use it or lose it trades per week and everyone forgets the do not trade after Rd1 rule ;)

I assume this is mainly RDT related thread because mass changes/trades in Fantasy is a given with the rules...

Last year I traded Masten to Murphy after round 1. It cost me just under 100k and went on to be my worst trade of the year. Just goes to show that people should back in there original selections.

This split round 1 has made it harder. At the first lockout I didn't have any spare cash because I was cautious of rookie selection. Now I have 100k spare. If I had that at the original lockout the I would have had Watson/Ebert/Treloar/Cotchin (the 4 i was considering for my M5 spot) instead of Ellis.

Now I'm torn. The no trade after round 1 rule or to spend 1 trade and get to the team I wanted to start with. Tough one. I'm sure I will change my mind 100 times this week.

I'm assuming you mean Brandon. Hmmm that is an interesting one. If a midfielder is a surprise out this week, you will have the potential to use an emergency loophole with Ellis. I'd consider starting the likes of Tyson, Dunstan and the other Ellis over him anyway.

I didn't consider Ellis once, so if he randomly appeared in my team overnight I'd get rid of him straight away, but you clearly think he can do something good in 2014, hence the selection, so I'd wait one more week. Can't throw limited trades away unless you are certain on something.

Probably:

Close > Rohan (corrective trade for being on holiday and missing first couple games)

Would like McEvoy > Sauce purely as it was what I intended though forgot to do, but won't waste the trade.

Done:

Thomas > Wines (Not sold on this one yet)
Longer and Thurlow > Currie and Derickx
Gunston > Mitchell
Kennedy-Harris > Frost

That's my exact conundrum.

Ellis and Buddy have both failed me
But do I waste the trades to fix them

Buddy - Wright
Ellis - Barlow

Looks like good trades, but im burning two early

AFL Fantasy:
McDonalds > Langdon
Thomas > Shiels
And taking a HUGE risk, but going with my guy.. Swan > Montagna
Thinking of swapping Franklin out, but knowing my luck I will and he'll kick a bag of 10. Going to give it another week and keep him and Rohan.
Michie on the bench, Polec on field.

RDT:
Walker > Birch
Langdon on field, Ellis off.
