I've traded out Jed Anderson for Papley.

If you traded out Anderson to Papley then you have the cash to go Sidebottom to Danger or Ablett assuming you are missing one of them.

If you are keen to keep Sidey, who isn't injured and who is only out for a fortnight, then I don't see any need for you to do the Anderson>Papley trade this week. See how Papley goes for a second game, make sure he's named for that bubble-bursting third.

If you do the trade early, you may as well use the cash to keep the points flowing IMO

I've decided I'll keep Robinson as he could miss only 1, but also he'll work nicely as a loophole for a couple of weeks.

However Sidey is no good as a loophole next 2 weeks, so he is goooooone.

If Libba gets less than 60 this week, I wont need to rush to get him in.
I picked all of the correct "cheap" $117k rookies, but BenKen and Weiters are more of a priority than Libba this week IMO and should generate more cash.

Stringer won't dominate every week he'll get held some weeks. Freo were terrible no pressure on dogs at all. Robinson might be in still too.

Was going to get weitering in this week to cover for sidey via bartel into mid... but now I've decided to hold fire for a week and cover sidey with davis this week.

Probably get weitering and hewett in next week, but a week is a long time in supercoach so we'll see.

Makes sense. We should compare outcomes, Mr Steadier, seeing as you are preparing to hold and cover for Mr Sidebottom whereas I am throwing his ass to the kerb.

I worry that you are going a week early on Weitering, because I am still hoping that he goes nowhere near it this weekend and I don't have to get him in next week. I'll probably do the exact same trade, Brown>Weitering, after Round 2.

If you swing Bartel into the mids, you are effectively covering Sidey with your shittest defender. Just sayin'

I would hold. Papley's output won't be like that everyweek and he'll need to score 3 goals each week to maintain what he scored on the weekend.

Oh an only week 1 for Greene. They might move Greene into the midfield position everyone was hoping he'd start with considering how ineffective he was last week. That was also an anomaly and his worst score ever in SC. Too early to throw him out yet.

Interesting team - very unique in your structure.

I personally think it's too early. Wait and see what Kennedy does in Round 2 and then bring him in if you feel it's necessary. He could be injured in teh first quarter this week and Dea goes big.

My mate says to me at work last night, "don't trade man, I just traded Sidebottom to Liberatore to see how it would look, but it won't let me reverse it."

He's SuperCoach savvy, and he doesn't usually crack gags like this. Is this true? Or is he just overlooking the reverse button?

Aah see that's a good point.

I kept Lids last year. Can't remember if it was 4 or 5 weeks on the pine before he started playing.

He was a gun at the end of the year, but I had lost so many points having all that cash sitting on the pine all that time that overall ranking was gooone.

I probably would have been better off ditching him ASAP.

Keeping a player can be as risky as trading one. It's just a different risk.

I just reversed my trades.

Sidebottom is back in my mids.

I have to quickly go trade him back out, it's making me too emotional
