nice work drummond, it will be awesome if meesen plays. Always good to see a youngster debut, big wraps for this fella. The crows have spent a lot of time and money on this kid.

You want my honest opinion? I think Meesen is playing, here is why.

In the paper today it said Clarke is in doubt, he has general soreness. For the Norwood side, there are two inclusions, and only one out. Tim Nicholas, the backup ruckman who has been out of the side for about 4 weeks now, has been brought back into the side. Could he be taking over from Meesen? ;)

Norwood:

In: Nicholas, James
Out: DeVries

Interesting, although DeVries is also a ruckman... :( :p
2 ins, 1 out. who are they going to leave out as the 2nd person left out??? ;)

I'm disappointed Hudson is not in the side and one of Clarke/Stevens/Bock/Porplyzia/Douglas are out. Obviously Hudson doesn't fit the "structure". Pfffft. Surely, even at AFL level, a guy who busts his gut and has the size and skill to go with it should make the 22. Not to mention the inspiration he'd give his team from coming back from a year out.

If his knee is not right, why is he playing at all? Or maybe they are saving him for the finals? Brisbane had no hesitation in bringing Keating in when they were winning premierships.

If Meesen is picked ahead of Hudson then the wheels have well and truly fallen off the coaching staff. He'll get slaughtered at AFL level at this stage. He barely wins his position when he plays SANFL.

Another minor change; John Hinge has strained his hamstring at training and is replaced as an emergency by Bernie Vince.

Would love to see Bernie play again this year, but he would be severely underdone for tomorrow's game.

That's not good news. The Bays need Hingey fit and firing next weekend :(

And yes, I wouldn't mind seeing Bernie again this year either. He could give us a little of the x factor. As you say though, he's got to be underdone at the minute.

And Huddo isn't fit enough to get through an entire game

so looks like Meesen is the only change possible

Unfortunate for Hingey, but I would love to see Bernie play tomorrow :thumbsu: Though I doubt he will...maybe Basset won't come up..

Vince plays one reserves game and he is named emergency. Looks like I was right on the money.

Not according to the Sports News tonight on TV.

According to them all Crows players pulled up well today and will play as named.

I think initially Hudson was about backup for any major injury to the other 3-4 ( I hesitate to say 4 as like you I dont think its the right time for Meesen ) . Also according to some reports Hudson is struggling to jump and that may be causing some concerns in the coaching box.

I have stated I would rather see Hudson start 2007 fresh . But I can also see the recall to inspire the boys .
