Carlton vs. Melbourne.

It's now in your hands! Not many Carlton supporters will want to win this game, I'm just wondering on what you want out of this game. Would you be satisfied if you lost this game in turn giving Carlton only 2 top 20 picks instead of 4? And keeping you 2nd round priority pick? I guess the 2nd round priority pick wouldn't be worth losing a game, but that and stuffing up Carltons chances of receiving yet another 1st pick, along with a 3rd pick. Giving them then 1, 3, 19 and 21 instead of just 1 and 18 or something and on top of that keeping an extra top 20 pick. Thought on the game ahead

You got it wrong how do we get pick1,3,19 and 21 if best we get pick 1,3,20,36 we only get a priority before everyone and not another after all clubs pick, just number 1,what we get is a chance of putting a midfielder probably the best player that turns out in the draft Palmer or Cotchin at number 3 and take Kreuser as our number 1 but he will be more likely to take longer to settle in then Palmer or Cotchin as they both could be number 1 pick also. It all depends if you have a shit midfield and want one of these guys this year and try to get Nicholas Naitanui a gun Ruckman next year who can't be drafted.Richmond midfield is pretty poor,Deledio,Raines and Daniel Connors the best,i reckon Nathan Brown is another player who is washed up and hinders the other kids, maybe Carl Peterson would be good when he isn't injured,i wanted him in Carlton by the way.

To put it simply the winner of this game is the loser in the long run!

Carlton have much more to lose by winning the game.

If Melbourne win they lose a PP after the first round of draft. In this years weak draft it really isn't a big deal missing out on that pick. But, if we win we lose the number one pick. Big difference

I reckon that Setanta and Ackland will be really fired up. Last thing they want is for Kreuzer to waltz in and steal their spot.

Hackland's got nothing to worry about, hes got another couple of years on his big bucks deal.

Setanta's better suited to the backline than the ruck.

There's a rumour on our board that Ackland might get the chop and be paid out.

This game could be interesting. Imagine this?

Neitz, Robertson, Newton collects the footy and run all the way to Carlton's FF and kick all the behinds for the blues?

Funny :)

I don't think Carlton would like to see that.

Why can't the carlton poster go back to their own board, which I will admit is full of should we tank, should we play like a pack of losers, will we win, I hope not.

Don't want to read this here.

Is that too much too ask.

Well, it's all set for possibly one of the worst games in years

You would think that no matter what the result, after the game there will be accusations of tanking.

It's going to be an interesting build up during the week

I started this very same tread 3 Weeks ago on the Dee site, and you don't have to be nostradamus to figure out what a fizzer round 22 will be.

35,000 max I reckon and enjoy.

Brad Fisher has a knee injury and might miss this week.

David Neitz has a knee injury and will definitely miss this week.

Keep throwing them at us and we'll keep knocking them out of the park, we want this loss more. :D

You still have Robbo who can kick a bag. Fevola and Fisher have kicked 100 goals between them.

Seriously don't even bother trying to out do our injury list, it just won't happen.

7 of our 10 most experienced players didn't play on the weekend. Only 3 of our 9 players with 100+ games experience played.

Comparitively, the Dees had 9 100+ gamers out there today.

at this rate the commentators won't know any of the player's names

go blues (I feel so dirty)

This could turn out to be the greatest display of attacking football ever known to man.

Oh the hilarity if it turns out to be a draw

A (probable) draft pick summary

melb win; melb get pick 4
carl win; melb get pick 2 and 18

For mine, it's simple maths.

The dees players need to have a punishing training session on saturday evening, followed by a night out clubbing, early morning 10k run and then get beef steaks and thickshakes for sunday lunch.

The selection table is where we need to make our move, unfortunately if we dropped all our quality players we wouldn't have anyone to come in. This game will have to be tanked by serving up some great footy on the ground. Garland and Bizzell are two we can bring in but we could do with them at Sandy for the first final. No doubt even if Sandy lose they will have some handy ins the following week.

In: Garland, Bizzell
Out: Neitz, White (drop White so no player has played all 22 games, it also gives us a proper look at jamar and pj against two of the best in the comp in Ackland and O'hailpin)

FB: Bode Carroll Bizzell
HB: Brown Ferguson Ward (all 6 could be gone next year!!!)
C: Johnstone McLean Green
HF: Garland Miller Sylvia
FF: Newton Robbo Pickett
Foll: Jamar Bruce Jones
Int: PJ, CJ, Dunn, Buckley

The red indicates a farewell game, everyone should get along and see off these champions of the Melbourne footy club.

Nathan Foley goes alright.

He goes more than alright lol, machine in the making.

I propose we have Dees supporters stationed around Victoria, if you see a Melbourne player you are to either hit and run or beat them senseless.

If you see Brad Miller you are too hit and reverse repeatedly.
