We get punished hard for our errors, but goddamn it we make so many opportunities over the course of a game it cancels out in the end. We are very much back to Hokball style.

Propbably the final quarter round two vs the bulldlogs was worse. But that was only one quarter. The was an entire game of such blatant bias that the fox commentary team harped on about it during and after the game.

When they showed Mitchell going off his nut in the coach's box, Hudson said "He has a right to be upset."

I will normally hold fire on umps until I watch a replay ( which I just did ). Even king ( or was the chief ) said we got the rough end of the pineapple today

I haven't seen any TV yet, but respect for Geelong sky high. They are a great club, with a great coach. They are so similar to the Hawks, same no-nonsense culture.

Anyway, what a game!!! Live, I didn't even know a point had been scored, so quick was the kick-in taken (too quick?)
Me and all around me thought Battle had a 65m kick to win the game, otherwise a draw.

Impey, Ward, Ginnivan, Sicily Butler and Macdonald were the best for me.
The fact that the Hawks beat a genuine contender with Newk down is a HUGE bonus, and this mid-field myth might just be that, a myth.
