While it could well be a Machiavellian plot, I think it is more likely he has just gone for a relative roughie so that at the end on the season if it comes off he can get up on his soap box and as the only person in the media (aside from possibly your favourites,Tim Lane and Robert Walls)who tipped ir claim to know something about football.
