Prefer DGB to Blanck, but either way those are the outs.

If Finn isn’t playing a hard tag, he has to go. Not sure what we’re trying to do with him this year.

Can’t cop Meek being suspended. Eyes on the ball and Blicavs just runs at him with no intention to jump.

Now don’t shoot me down for this one, but I’d be tempted to rest/manage Mackenzie this week or give him a cruiser run in the magoos. I’m a big fan, he’s been in the thick of it to start the season. Just don’t want him to burn out.

Out - Finn, Reeves, Mackenzie, Nash/Frost
In - Long, Lynch, Butler, DGB

In: Butler, Long, DGB, Lynch, Kozi
Out: Frost, Finn, Nash, Meek,

Kozi and DGB need to hold down FB & CHB, we drafted them to play KPD - just do it Sammy. Frost & Sicily are not KP defenders. Release Sic to play an attacking HB role.

Butler & Long offer more than Finn & Nash.

Lynch offers more than both Meek and Reeves for now. So play him.

Hawks by 33.

B: Hardwick, KOZI, Impey
HB: Sicily, DGB, CJ
C: Ward, DAY, Amon
HF: Breust, Greene, Wingard
F: Butler, Lynch, Moore

Rucks: Reeves, Jai, Worpel

Bench: Scrim, Frenchy, CMac, Brockman

Sub: Long

Will think about what changes a required during the week, but we can’t be not making changes this week. 3 absolutely horrendous smacking mean changes must be made, performers at BH need to be rewarded.

As horrid as we were today, this game is winnable. I watched the Giants this week and they are a poor side.

We have been uncompetitive against last year’s grand finalists and Essendon, but got the job done v North. This game and a couple others over the next few weeks (Crows in Tassie; Freo; eagles in Tassie) will have a big say in where we finish.

Ins are DGB , Long, Butler, Rama, and maybe even Seamus Mitch. Rama to be thrown to the wolves, but he can handle it. DGB is wasted at Box Hill and played great today. Mitchell has been good since pre season started. Butler will add polish and hardness, and Long is a inside bull.

Outs are Frost, Cmac, Finn, Meek(suspended),

Either play Sicily as a third man up defender as he refuses to stick to a key forward anyway or play him at CHF, where I think he would excel and give us a much needed marking option.

Dgb, butler and Ramsden all have some campaigner in them, including long, blank and lynch if we can fit them we should.

O’Sullivan and the new Mitchell won’t be far away if the seniors keep playing the way they do.

Reeves, meek and magginess gone, meek is getting their but something soft about the way he uses his size.

The only way I can fit dgb and blank in if Sicily plays forward and just let him provide a main target and float back if we get a run of goals on us… it might do the team and kids some good to see Sicily around the play more.

Breust is not a pressure forward and green applies some but isn’t that either. That means we need to play Tyler/butler desperately, with Ramsden and Sicily as the main pillars it would be wise to play another pressure forward but we seem hamstrung based on senior priority.

Moore, jai, day, Nash, Amon, Morrison, ward as main stays in the middle with lynch and Ramsden supporting.

This would leave new kids Mackenzie, Maca, reeves, meek and anyone putting their hand up from box hill with Worpel, wingard, magginess as the bottom players in the mix on bench.

If Sicily uses this time up forward well we may see some actually structure again and let Hardwick play the quarterback role.

As bad as we were today, this is a very winnable game and should provide some insight as to where we sit.

Will be a few changes.

Mackenzie looked like needed a rest - not surprising as a first year player.

Brockman might need a few weeks at BH - he’s missed a lot of footy. Butler an easy swap.

Day and Meek could be suspended.

Rest throw a blanket over - who knows how Sam will react.

If we can’t compete with a fellow bottom 4 contender going to be a very painful season. GWS are better than north but worse then dons and levels below cats/swans (who people seem to forget just played off in a GF).
