What I'd like to see:

OUT: Brown, Dalziell, Nicoski
IN: Swift, Smith, Hams

Sub Smith on for Lynch at the half way mark of the 3rd.
Broome, Weedon, Stevenson I all considered but they have the Foxtel Cup on Saturday which I think it'd be nice for them to be apart of. Good chance to press a big claim for selection for round 7. Dalziell out because he's crap. Nicoski not near as good as Hams and Strijk. Still waiting for Sheppard to really dominate a WAFL game before he gets a recall.

What will happen:
OUT: Brown
IN: McGinnity

-_-

Great to hear Smith is starting to utalise his pace more.

Mmmmmm well we still have one more round of WAFL before team selections so it will be interesting.

Not really - we have a thursday game next - so i can't see them backing up after 5 days - one game is off a 3 day break

I reckon we'll know who's in the frame by this weekend.

Didn't realise this.

Well I suppose WAFL selections for this weekend will give us a clear idea then of who won't be in the mix.

Spoiler alert** Dean's face may not be so sullen because Watts looks to be set for a few week in the twos to get his game face on.

Jack Trengove and Jack Grimes will have to carry MFC in the 'Jack off'

I swear Melbourne supporters have a "Jack" search function, so when anyone posts the word they are there to defend.

Our Jack > Your 3 Jacks

As long as Jack Grimes gets a good SC score, but dosn't effect our Jack or stop us from winning then I am happy.:D

Really, really hope we win.:o:(

Was only messing :thumbsu::)

We actually do have Jack Watts mods of every board. It's kind of like MI6 but instead we are on the clubs payroll.

I'm a big fan of darling, I really wanted him at pick 12. You guys killed the 2010 draft when you factor in Gaff and big Scotty L as well.

As for my thought on this game; you beat us at the mcg when you where ahem**Sh.. well last year. Now we play you at Subi (new names take time with me) while your up and about and we are look flat.

Role reversal time in round 6 or melbourne board meltdown?

I'll say eagles by 19

arrrrrrrrrrrrgh. That was me scaring you off our board;). Na jokes. Should be a good game mainly because i think we should actually win. You guys need scully. Already one of your best mids. This is the first game of the year i will actually be unhappy if we loose as i expect to win.

It's hard to know the best way to handle Swift. We don't want to create a rotating door selection policy with him. We need to leave him in the WAFL until he is ready to play for a sustained period in the seniors.

I caught the Claremont/Subi game on the tele and I was very happy with what Swift produced. He looked like he wanted to be involved in the play and was constantly calling for the footy. He also used the ball very well, with some low spearing kicks finding their target in congestion.

Personally, I'd give Swift more time in the WAFL. A player of his potential could have a big bearing on the club's next few seasons. Last season, I think injuries and illness conspired to drain his confidence and watching him, I got the impressions he didn't look like he wanted to be involved in the play.

I think the WAFL is doing good things for him at the moment and he should stay there for the time being.

I'd like to see all 'fringe' players who are promoted from WAFL ranks being made to earn their stripes. Last year injuries, really poor form meant selectors were clutching straws and promoting people with flash in the pan performances.

For me Swift was one of those who got selected a little too easily last year.

Make earn their stripes with sustained periods of good performances. Playing AFL should be earned not given.

Should be a interesting game...I think WCE will win on form but the Dees are starting to put it together as well.
I only see 1 certain win this year for every club and thats GC17..

My outs:
Out: Brown (inj) In: McGinnity- For Jurrah
Out: Dalziell (spud) In: Hams
Out: Ebert (kicking) IN: Strijk

Team should look like this with match ups.

West Coast Eagles

B:
Pat McGinnity, Darren Glass, Shannon Hurn
F: Liam Jurrah, Lynden Dunn, Aaron Davey

HB: Sam Butler, Eric Mackenzie, Scott Selwood
HF: Austin Wonaeamirri, Brad Green, Jamie Bennell

C: Matthew Rosa, Matthew Priddis, Andrew Embley
C: Jordan Gysberts, Jack Grimes, Rohan Bail

HF: Andrew Strijk, Josh Kennedy, Luke Shuey
HB: Jared Rivers, Colin Garland, Jack Trengove

F: Mark Nicoski, Quinten Lynch, Nic Naitanui
B: Luke Tapscott, James Frawley, Clint Bartram

Foll: Dean Cox, Adam Selwood, Daniel Kerr
FOLL: Mark Jamar, Brent Moloney, Colin Sylvia

I/C: Will Schofield, Ashton Hams, Jack Darling
I/C: Nathan Jones, Jack Watts, Cale Morton
SUB: Andrew Gaff

EMG: Addam Maric, Ricky Petterd, Stef Martin

Mcginnity on jurrah is the biggest fail of a match up of all time.

i would cry.

Out: Ebert (kicking) IN: Strijk - I have been looking at Ebert thinking hes not involved enough - yes can take a mark and takle but too slow, so I made a comparission to Stirjk - and there is not much difference
Strijk - Ebert
Disposals 14 - 15
Tackles 1.6 - 2.5
marks 4.6 - 3
Goals 1.1 - 0.8

yes its last year to this year but i think Eberts tackling is is keeping him in as thats the game plan

Agreed.

Unfortunately Schofield will probably get him.:o

At least Schofield is tall, playing a midget like McGinnity on Jurrah is detined to fail big time

As long as Swift comes in and Dalziell goes out I'll be happy.

It was mentioned by RE that if Broome kept his form up he'd be in the side against Melbourne, so it'll be interesting to see if that happens.

Would also love to see Weedon in, if only as the sub.

Why would you expect to win when your the current Wooden Spooners and are playing a current top 8 side thats just won by 90 pts interstate.I just cant work that one out!

Well we have the home ground advantage and have showed massive improvement from last year. On top of that, your 2 wins have been against the worst 2 sides in the comp. We had a similar result against Sydney and also didn't get thumped by Hawthorn. Why wouldn't we expect to win?

The spoon was last year. Weve beaten north and port adelaide (away). Nearly beat sydney at home and again nearly beat an in form hawthorn at aurora. 90 points against who? I wouldn't expect to win if it was an eagles away game but home ground advantage has always been huge for us.
