On another note, far too many people in the game day thread need to get an absolute grip. One thing to be passionate about the club but it's entirely another to flood a thread with whining because we aren't winning every game by 100 points.

We were literally going about 50 per cent all game. Total cruise control. Had we kicked straight it still would have been a 70 plus point win.

I don’t think we will beat many sides playing like that, but you can only beat the side you’re up against. West Coast are dire so we missed an opportunity to build percentage.

Seemed like a fair bit of experimenting going on late - Barass forward (lol), Hustwaite, Ward, even Wiz on ball a bit

The Meek Freak was dominant. Genuine All Australian contender and would be leading our B&F

Gunston and Chol solid, but both wasteful. Ginnivan back with a solid game.

Back in 4th, but will need to play a lot better to stay up there

Yep it was ugly, disjointed, and we looked like 2020 Hawthorn mostly.
A 50 point win is something though- us fans get almost offended if the players aren’t as locked in as we are but I remember plenty of games like this during the 2013-15 years. Bank the points, got some percentage and next week the Tigers will come in thinking they are a real chance. The boys know they will have to go up another level.

ordinary performance. Scrimshaw and Amon out next week and the Tigers now becomes a danger game.
CJ was just ok in the seconds, made some hair-brained decisions, but with all the suspensions and injuries, the cupboard starting to become pretty bare.
Really, Hawks are just a shadow of the 2024 side, the ball use by hand and foot is terrible, the receiver of the handball must be getting quite sick of picking the prune off his toes.

Brisbane only beat the Eagles by 20 odd points up there. It doesn't matter that we didn't belt them particularly if we were barely trying all game.

Margin about half of what it should and could have been and still feels like it flattered us.

On the bright side we’re quite fortunate to be 5-2 despite not playing anywhere near our 2024 best in any game this year.

We’ll need to be a lot better than this but for this point of the season we’re sitting in a good spot.
