What $94,200 forward do you guys recommend? Josh Smith, Ben Ross or Darcy Daniher? Leaning towards Daniher....anyone got any other ideas?

also what do you think is the best midfield upgrade option for $561,500 (upgrading bird)? Currently leaning towards Chappy so i have about $100,000 kitty.

What do people think of a straight swap of Nick Stevens for Chapman. I was coming up with an elaborate plan to get a gun forward and gun midfielder and was agonizing over Chapman and Franklin in the forward line but then realised I could do a straight swap in the midfield. Would it be worth having Chappy in the midfieldover someone like Cooney or Dal.

I wouldn't. IMO you're wasting a spot in your midfield. Why not have both? Take advantage of Chapman's ability to be slated as a forward AND have Cooney or Dal in your mids - instead of one or another.

This week will be Bird to Cotchin (if named), and Nath Thompson to Valenti (if named) giving me about 300k. Also meaning I will have to play Cotchin and Gamble for one week. And, then upgrade Gamble to Chappy/BJ and then the next couple of weeks upgrade Browne to Corey/Nicky Dal/Other cheap mid.

And, then my only weakness' will be Rioli, Brett Jones and Stanton which are all capable of 100's anyway. :)

I will be cashing in NJ Brown to Myers this week.

With my other trade I am looking to upgrade Rioli to either Chapman or Franklin.
I have my trades worked out for round 10 but in round 11 I want to bring in Chapman/Franklin for McKinley.

Who would you bring in first? Franklin is playing Melbourne this week and even if he only scores 100 he will still go up $25k, but I can see him scoring 150 and rising to $600k+

On the other hand Chappy is the cheapest he will get ($487k) so even if he plays badly he will still rise in price.

Alternatively I could get Chappy now and then wait for 5weeks or so for Franklin to inevitabley drop in price after another 50- game, but then my overall ranking will suffer.

Edit: Leaning towards Franklin at the moment because I have the cash and he could be a good captain choice.

Decided on my trades this week:
Bird to Wellingham
Wood to White (just short of Sandilands, but White is better anyway imo).

Then next week
Gamble/Tippett to Valenti.
Armitage to Bartel? Someone good anyway.

Round 9 Team:

Cornes, Mattner, Bradshaw, Macdonald, Johncock, Taylor, Shaw (EMG: Brown)

Kornes, Dal Santo, Stevens, Cross, Armitage, Browne (EMG: Wellingham)

Cox, White

Pavlich, Porplyzia, Franklin, Chapman, Deledio, Rioli, J Brown (EMG: Tippett)

Thoughts?
Just need to fix 5th centre to a gun in coming weeks and I'm set for a while. :)

My Forward Line: J Brown, Fevola, Pavlich, Franklin, Richo, Chapman, Rioli

Upon the injury of Kennely i did some reserach.

I can downgrade him to Myers(will play all year)
Mckinley(reach his BE) to Franklin(as cheap as you'll get and is a must for finals)

Following week should see Wone and possibly tippet reach there BE's
Cotchin in for Wone, Valenti in(thinking he will hold his spot with Netiz reirment)

In that time i should have alowed enough time for Mcloud to drop to around the 470K mark, making him ripe for the picking!
Mwahahahaha!.....Mwahahaha!

bah i wake one of these three week plan's every week, and every week some thing happens to completely change it.

Rookies staring, Kennely's doing injuries, players putting 150pts on the board and going out of price range. But every week in back planning.

I hear what ya saying...I have a spreadsheet which I have my rolling plans week by week. Will be good for a laugh when I read back at the end of the year.

Just some thoughts, is Chappy in the middle a waste of time? Should he be in the forward line instead?

Or is doesnt really matter?

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I'm going to upgrade Bird this week and I can only afford like 500k, there are players like Swan, Kornes and even Lewis. But, Chappy is miles more tempting.
