Start it off early (even though injuries may occur during the round)...

Ill be looking at Suban or Rance to Grimes (especially if he keeps going at his current pace). Suban might get dropped/rested this week and is not going to score much more than 40 each week.

Im sure others will be looking at ....

Petrenko, Cheney, Hill and possibly even Hodge (who we should find out a bit more about during the week) to Grimes.

I already have Broughton, but another good downgrade option down back (and hopefully his game time increases each week)

If I use 2 more trades this week that will be 6 trades in 3 weeks ... but that's what injuries do to you!!

I have a couple of options this week.

Petrenko -> Broughton
Houlihan -> Grimes
Walker / Brown -> Sidebottom.

If Houlihan isn't named this week then he's definitely gone, especially if Grimes has another 80+ game. Would also like to bring in Sidebottom but with Chappy / Higgins / Skipworth / Ziebell all not playing for me this week one of them may have to make way.

There ar esome great downgrade options gong around Broughton and Grimes, i had grimes preseason but took out as he wasn't named for round 1..

both playing there 2nd match. Both doing well great.

I was thinking of kepeing rance till he improves some more, but with broughton being an obvious great downgrade I could grabe the cash from him now....

Maybe if Hurn has reached his limit I could deal with him, but at the moment he isn't my bigest problem.

Houlihan > Grimes
Rance/Cheney/Suban > Broughton

Presuming the two get named. if cheney turns out great and suban is named again then rance goes, if cheney is shit and suban isn't named then one of those two go.

OUT: Adcock, Houlihan
IN: Gilbee, Newman

Giving me a backline of Goddard, Drummond, Cornes, Newman, Gilbee, Gilbert, Grimes. All players except Grimes will be averaging 100 by the end of the year.

OR

OUT: Lovett, Houlihan
IN: Gilbee, Jonathon Brown

Oh, man that's sweet. This depends how long Chapman is out for though and whether Higgins gets up.

Early considerations:

Petrenko -> Broughton
Tuck -> Anthony (if any word on his due back round)

Plus what I already have in the kitty, all together should be around $470k. Backlines good, middles good, rucks are good. Will allow me to upgrade a couple of under performing forwards the following week... will almost have my team complete with plenty of trades left for the year. Knock wood I don't get a string of injuries to stuff that though.

Looking to get rid off Malceski, Houlihan (if not named,) T Tuck and possibly Gia.
There aren't many options for me to pick down back so I'm thinking
T Tuck -> Anthony
Gia -> Anyone!

Probably cash out Suban - Broughton

Will also consider someone (Krak, Higgins, M Brown) - Sidebottom

The second one will free up lots of cash however I'm not sold on Sidebottom and will see how he goes this week. Will also depend on injuries obviously.

its definitely a bit early to be getting Anthony in. ive had him on my bench all season and you dont wanna have to deal with that.

as of last week he was still listed as 1-2 weeks away and there is a very good chance he will come back via the reserves. Would like to get a look at him playing the real stuff before trading him in. Later season downgrade option IMO.

Depends who is back next week. If Malceski and Ziebell come back in they won't be traded, same with Higgins.

Probably trade down a cash cow, Rich, Whitecross, Zahakaris, White, and get in another gun midfielder or backman.

Probably getting rid of Tuck and Malceski for keepers but could hang on to Malceski until Hodge is back and bottomed out.

Tuck OUT - Just point me in the direction of that trade button and he is GOOOOOONNNNE.
Wanted to trade him last night but could not get onto SC site. Was looking at the Coondog but may reconsider after his avg 87 today.

What I was afraid of in not trading this week- I want to grab both Grimes and Broughton, but also want to get rid of Tuck.

If Tuck's dropped I'll be alright, but otherwise he'll just continue to leak dollars- he's just a bench player for me, so I don't mind knocking him off. He looked at sea last night. Needs a rest and/or some magoo time. I still think he's a promising player, but is struggling at the moment.

Not being able to upgrade due to a large amount of injuries in recent weeks is costing me !! Been having to play:

Suban - 30 something this week
Walker - 34
Brown - 36
White - 19

Suban will become Grimes.

White will get dropped so will also need to be upgraded (not many options though as I need more $$)

Hopefully Chappy returns and can put Walker back on bench.

Brown played more a shut down role tonight, so should be better vs Pies next week.

If not for the massive amount of injuries I would have upgarded at least 3 of these by now :mad:

Be careful on rushing out Daniel Rich

With his score tonight, TooSerious has him reaching $400K by round 12

Even my slow moving Dangerfield could reach $300K at about the same time

The 2 popular alternatives in Cooney & Power scored 87 and 61 today so I'm not sure you are gaining a great deal by burning the trade on Rich just yet

Was gonna be awkward for me this week, as i wanted to trade Rich next week and get grimes and Broughton in, but thats been fixed by Rich (and Otten) playing solid games. They can wait a week

If Houlihan misses again, i might trade him to Grimes

Suban to Broughton

Leaving me with a crap load of cash in the bank to then upgrade Otten and Rich to keeper's. Was gonna do Rich to Coondog or Power this week, but upgraded Kerr to Judd as my midfield needed another gun and Kerr has been poor besides 2 games

After seeing Power tonight and Cooney fail to fire significantly, this might be better as with all the money i get from Broughton and Hoops, it will allow me to get some absolute guns for Otten and Rich that are firing and finish my team in 2 to 4 weeks weeks time :thumbsu:

Same here mate.

Have spent most of my trades on injures too :mad:

Thank your lucky stars that you don't have to start Spudrenko on the ground like I do. I would rather be playing with a Crispy Cream Dounut, at least you can eat them! Petrenko is as useless as a moldy sandwich! :eek:

Sadly Jessie White is my Petrenko :eek: (Surely both will be dropped next week)

Should have upgraded Ottens instead of downgrading to Meeson ... now my rucks contain White, Meeson and Jacobs :mad:

(Just noticed Walker will still have a negative B/E next week) :eek:

Ok, Spudrenko is killing me and being forced to play him on the ground so I need to take action.

Thinking of either

a) Otten > Davenport and Rance > Newman

(I like this option as it gets rid of the deadwood from my defense bench)

(This option gives a backline of Goddard, Fisher, Cornes, Gilbee, Newman, Hill, Broughton (Petrenko Houlihan)

OR

b) Hill > Grimes and Houlihan > Newman or someone else.

(This option gives a backline of Goddard, Fisher, Cornes, Gilbee, Newman, Grimes, Broughton (Petrenko Rance)

Option a) also gives me the chance to upgrade Houlihan in the future in case he never comes back. Is an easier base to upgrade from.

A) or B) chaps? :eek:

I think it's too soon on Otten, Rance and Hill J-M

Houlihan should be back soon which will give your cash cows a few more weeks to fatten up and give you some breathing space

Your team has enough guns in it to cool off on the trades for a week at least I reckon? Especially if Ablett comes back next week.

Besides, both your options keep your man Petrenko in your team!

Why not just go Petrenko-Grimes?
