Twentynine, F. Leigh
--------------------------
Deb : 2005
Num : 29
Pos : Rover
Gms : 65
Gls : 89
Vts : 0
The Flea is tiny, racks up possessions, kicks plentiful goals, but never seems to be popular with the umpires. Always at the bottom of packs, or running past them, hoping for an easy receive. Very consistent and on his day makes all the difference.

Bbenfuhrer, Melvin Ogilvie
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 22
Pos : CHB, FB, Ruck
Gms : 103
Gls : 43
Vts : 2
Mobbenfuhrer has worn many hats, administering the Sweet FA in 2001 & 2002, before pulling on the virtual boots himself in '03. He's administered other leagues, the BRLFFFL and the illfated Qooty FFL among them. When the Roys entered recess, Mobbs played two seasons with the Mod Squad. He was crap, there, too. Mobbenfuhrer pretends to marshall troops in defence, but tends to run away from the ball.
Leadership: Acting president, captain, coach. Manager "Normanby FFC".

Boy, Roylance (the 2nd)
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 44
Pos : Wing, Onballer, pocket
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
"Steady as she goes" best describes this new player's preparation for the 09/10 season. Royboy2 came up through the Roys Gorillas Juniors. It is hoped he will flesh out the team's onball brigade. There is a query over his dedication, but the bold move to recruit this youngster looks to be a very intelligent one. Royboy2 is best suited to where he can use his pace, so he'll be tested on wings, flanks and roving positions.

Croft, Robert Benedict
--------------------------
Deb : 2004
Num : 24
Pos : Forward flank, back flank
Gms : 92
Gls : 53
Vts : 17
Named after the dynamo spearhead himself, Bobby Beecroft is a gun almost anywhere all over the ground. He tends to be utilised for providing propulsion to any forays towards goal, whether from defence as a springboard, or up forward dobbing the odd major and dropping a few footies in the goalsquare for the full-forward to utilise. Beecroft is reliable, though not to be relied upon as a game-breaker. He is a vital cog to the basic machinery of the Roys team.

D, Paul
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 8
Pos : Back Pocket, Back flank, centre
Gms : 123
Gls : 43
Vts : 32
The versatility of Paul D is difficult to describe. He plays both big and small, strong and supple. Here is one of the stalwarts of the Roys team, having played almost every one of their matches! Also, where flea29 couldn't buy a Moblow vote, Paul D racks up umpirical bests with almost monotonous regularity. Despite this, he's the quiet achiever, and you may almost fail to notice him right up to vote count time.

Den, Lyonse
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 4
Pos : Forward pocket, forward flank
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
An exciting new prospect is the Lion's Den, who was recruited this season from the University Roys FFC. TLD is likely to be used as a pinch-hitter forward, chalking up goals while least expected, while the primary defenders are absorbed with Jake and Roylion. With the loss this year of FitzroyRamone, TLD has a pre-written role to play.
Leadership: Manager "Old Fitzroy FFC"

Eardo, Remington
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 10
Pos : Back pocket, onballer
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
Reardo is another new player, and somewhat of an unkown quantity. He is currently being tested in a back pocket, where he has displayed considerable discipline and concentration in practice matches. His fitness and run-all-day style also hands the Roys a great addition for their onball team. While a little tentative during the early hitouts, it is expected that Reardo will mature into a reliable backman/run-with player as the season gets under way.

Fitzlyon, Roylance
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 35
Pos : Back flank, forward flank
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
This new arrival has impressed from the get-go, and is envisaged to become an integral piece of the puzzle as the Roys hunt premiership glory. Roy Fitzlion is a solid, fast flanker with a sense of occasion. He is sure to become a favourite amongst supporters due to his attacking playing style. Fitzlion presents as one champing at the bit for this season to commence.

Ka, Koocoocachoo
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 5
Pos : CHF, forward flank, wing
Gms : 79
Gls : 64
Vts : 1
Kooka could be the key to the success of the Gorillas in 09/10. He had played various roles in past seasons, a lot of them near to the centre of the ground. Now, with a more mature physique and experienced footy mind, Kooka has been asked to step up and take on the key Centre-Half Forward post. This will be an important role, as the Roys are hoping to rotate Roylion and JakethePeg through CHF and FF, along with Kooka. As one of the 'originals', Kooka has a very successful history with the Gorillas, and he is sure to embrace this new challenge with vigour.

Ka, Stockard
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 7
Pos : Wing, Centre, onballer
Gms : 66
Gls : 61
Vts : 2
More sinewy and elusive than his older brother Koo, Stocka had held down positions across the centreline in the early seasons. He was an utter gun, racking up possessions with gay abandon, and running riot on his side of the ground. Stocka faded from the limelight after a couple of years, until he dropped out of the team altogether. But now, with the team reforming and excitement rife, Stocka has returned to the club in earnest. Expect Stocka to be seen churning out possessions throughout the season 09/10.

Kangaroo, Wildred
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 18
Pos : Forward flank, back flank
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
Wild Kangaroo is one of those folks who's been wandering around outside the gates, and finally gets asked to come in for a kick. He's now been picked up by the Roys and is expected to contribute substantially to the coolness of older heads. A forward flank is probably the best place for Wild Kangaroo to exhibit his talents.

Lax, Sebastian
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 39
Pos : Wing, Back flank, back pocket, onballer
Gms : 60
Gls : 50
Vts : 3
Slax has been a stalwart of the Gorillas sinced they began way back in 2003. A powerhouse on the wing, in the centre, or ruck-roving, he's a sure bet to be a prolific ball-gatherer, with an eye for the goals to boot. The old centreline of Slax, Shaz & TimTheToolman is long gone, but this element persists to break the heart of many an opposition fan. When you play on Slax, you stay played upon.

Lion, Royce
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 9
Pos : CHF, FF, Forward pocket or flank
Gms : 130
Gls : 133
Vts : 30
The ancient behemoth of goalkicking, Roylion has possibly never put in an ordinary performance in any of his 130 games. Always to be counted upon for kicking goals, usually from Centre-Half Forward, this year sees Roylion find more time right in front of goal at Full Forward. Strong hands and imposing presence, Roylion will always be the darling of the Gorillas fans. He's seen the team through thick and thin, aiding firstly Yippyio and later JakethePeg with score accumulation. There's plenty of life left in this warhorse, and 2009/10 is bound to be a great year for the great man.

Lumpkin, Fatima Tyson
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 27
Pos : Ruck, Centre, forward pocket
Gms : 76
Gls : 65
Vts : 21
Around the ground FattyLumpkin can carry the entire team through tough times, commanding the troops from his ruck work. But the centre bounces are by all means not the sum total of Fatty's contribution. Often taking his breaks in the forward line, Lumpkin has notched up a handy tally of goals over his six seasons, averaging one goal a game. He is also able to put in great service in defence if need be. A very important player, the Roys would feel the difference if he wasn't in the starting lineup.
Leadership: Manager "Bloody Lions"

Mann, Cave
--------------------------
Deb : 2007
Num : 20
Pos : Back pocket, onballer
Gms : 32
Gls : 9
Vts : 2
Caveman came to the club in 2007, and has played 32 games over two years, carving out a place for himself as a quality defender and sometime goalsneak. Recruited from the Bendigo district, Caveman has no shortage of football wiles to bring to a game, and can often be seen leaving opposition forwards standing perplexed as he scoots away with the ball after stymying opposition attack after attack. One to watch as he is still young and is improving year by year.

Mirri33, Wona Engelbert Augustus
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 33
Pos : onballer, Wing, Centre
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
A late addition to the Roys playing list is Wonaeamirri33, who is a bit of an unknown at this juncture, but is expected to take on a centre-field role, covering for the loss of Shaz and TimTheToolman. Diminutive but deceptively strong, "Wona" adds grunt-power to the centre of the Roys' line-up. He has big shoes to fill, but he is reportedly not one for shirking a challenge.

Oval, Jung Xen
--------------------------
Deb : 2007
Num : 3
Pos : onballer, wing, back flank
Gms : 39
Gls : 15
Vts : 3
In various positions, utility Junction Oval is more the workhorse than the glamour player. Applied dedication and percentage play are his callsigns when JO takes the field. This is not to say that he can't show some flare, and he has been known to snag the odd goal or two. Super-reliable, Junction Oval is irreplaceable as one of the few certainties of the Roys campaign.

Pegg, Jaketh Egglestone
--------------------------
Deb : 2007
Num : 50
Pos : FF, CHF, Forward pocket, FB
Gms : 38
Gls : 77
Vts : 6
Coming to the club with the recruiting drive in '07, Jake the Peg has kicked 77 goals in two seasons, in a little over 2 goals per game. While accuracy isn't his strong point, gaining the ball is, and if you get the pill enough times, goals are eventually going to follow. This season, Jake shares full-forward duties with rotation partners Roylion and Kooka. This makes for a super-formidable line-up, and Jake the Peg was able to strike fear into full backs even when he didn't have backup. This could be the year of the peg.

Pizza, Fatima
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 6
Pos : Ruck, FB
Gms : 131
Gls : 133
Vts : 2
Fat Pizza is the Roys number 1 ruckman, though only by a smidgeon from FattyLumpkin. What makes Fat Pizza so special, though, is his contribution on the scoreboard. FP is a goalkicker, almost as much so as he is a ruckman. Fat Pizza is the Roys FC's leading selection, having played 133 matches. Deceptive for his height, he's a crack ruckman and gets the ball rolling on many Roys forays into enemy territory.
Leadership: Manager "The Roys FFC"

Ripper, Mandrake Roderick
--------------------------
Deb : 2003
Num : 2
Pos : Wing, CHB, Forward flank, onballer
Gms : 44
Gls : 1
Vts : 1
Mr Ripper can hold down CHB and FB positions, as well as having the ability to go on the ball. He's no goalkicker, but he has a hand in many goals kicked by associates.
Leadership: Manager "Fitzroy FL Franchise #3"

Roys!, Carnaby Theodore
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 42
Pos : Forward flank, wing
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
Carn the Roys is another recruit from the Roys Gorillas JUniors, and what an exciting prospect this fellow is. The sheer passion displayed by this young fellow at practice matches will stand him in good stead come the season proper. CtR is a good bet for best first-year player.
Leadership: Manager "Fitzroy FL Franchise #2"

Tori, Dandelion Elvis
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 16
Pos : onballer, wing, centre
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : With a twinkletoes daintiness to play, one would be mistaken for thinking dannitori to lack the fortitude to meet the challenges of a football season. Playing the previous season at the Southern Dragons, danni crossed to Roys so that she could represent the mighty gorilla. Thus far, in practice matches, danni's form has been sensational, linking up around the grounds and putting six-pointers through almost at will. dannitori is one to watch in 2009/10.

Vito, Donato (von Fitzroy)
--------------------------
Deb : 2007
Num : 11
Pos : Forward flank, forward pocket, wing
Gms : 42
Gls : 48
Vts : 4
The enforcer of the Roys team, Don vito of Fitzroy gives no quarter to anyone. Joining in 2007, Don quickly stamped his tough brand of football via practice matches. He can't wait until the main season begins, so that he can start measuring himself against the other tough-guys of the league. With an eye for the goalface as well, there is nothing new about don Vito adding goals to his stats sheet.

Zallo, Spaz
--------------------------
Deb : 2009/10
Num : 1
Pos : Wing, Back flank
Gms : 0
Gls : 0
Vts : 0
Spazzallo, another new arrival from the Roys Gorillas juniors. Not much known about this player, but he seems a most exciting prospect off the half back flank, or possibly up on a wing. Has impressed during practice games and looks certain to be a regularm part of the starting twenty.

Hmmm, Mobbs, can I just ask whether for Fatty Lumpkin you have included his season at Alberton Swamprats and his season at the Gumbies in those statistics?

No I haven't. Roys stats only, too much work to go back for those too.

Same applies to dannitori @ the Shagons, and for myself at the Cardies (Mod Squad).

Just pure Roys.

If I had a better computer, I'd get back onto the huge excel machinery I had that handled every clubs stats. If I tried to open those three files on this headbeatten old laptop, it would probably dob me in for abuse.

do you rate those seasons? :D

yeah by all means, maybe someone can help me find out how many matches he's played for 'em

also me for Mod Squad and dannitori for Shagons

I wasn't at the Dragons for very long, so I doubt there would be much games

Finally done... here's the list of Dragon players from last season updated to this day including regular H&A matches and finals, not preseason or practice matches as they don't count. I do have the full list, but it was too hard to copy and paste lol.
Yeah, Pie had a lot of time on his hands!

EDIT: Oh, the thing doesn't show up! Lol, you've played 22 games!
