Rumor.....:thumbsu:

Carlton officials (Swan & Sticks i'm told) will have a short meeting with the whole playing group to discuss Brendon Fevola.
Now that Brendon will have more time on his hands and a move back to melbourne will most likely be on the cards, officials don't want players being distracted by him or getting caught up with him.

How ironic! I had just posted a hypothetical on Fev, on another thread and I come across this.

Odds are long at any possible association but it will be on the table.
Could be interesting indeed.

If our boys caught up with fev over dinner or coffee... that's fine... I'm pretty sure the club wouldn't course them away from that... it's the going out or having a beer part is what they will warn them about...

Plus, as Fev is in a state of mind that is of ill health, they will have to course them on how to deal with someone in this situation...

If this rumour is true, it is very professional of the club (y)

FMD - The bloke was a nutter on the piss.....but with some of the stuff written you would have thought he was a murderer !!!

We won multiple Premierships with blokes whom fu$%ed up a whole lot more than Fev ever did. Media didn't report it, most didn't know about it.

There would be 1000 Uni students who have mucked up worse than Fev ever did in the last couple of weeks...

No-one famous, media don't report it.

Stone him I say......

May the first morally just, politically correct hypocrite cast the first stone...

Not gonna cast a stone but I will this; times change and that's the reality.

Fev is no longer the issue but the current list is. I don't want any of them out the eve of a game drinking until late and then pissing on windows. Night after sure....no wait. Coffee will be fine fev but stick to Lattes. No Long macs for goodness sake

I accept your stand on the guy BTP & I apologise for the 'fool' comment.
No need to apologise mate, but I appreciate it, nevertheless.

Not all players are born of the same mould though. Fevola is lunatic and a compulsive lier and rightly so was sacked for not towing the line. However, No matter his indiscretions and misdemeanours, Fevola did alot of good things for this club which should be acknowledged....and in future hopefully applauded.
Agreed.

In this day & age everything the AFL instill into these young players is a wonderful thing. I, personally, would be sorry if the club said to the players, many of which i would think still regard Brendan as a friend, to stay away from him. Fundamentally it goes against everything they're taught about the values of supporting your mates...particular when their in a dark place.
I, personally, would be very receptive of such a move.

The players do not need to be associated with a man who is being hounded (allegedly) by underworld figures, loansharks, former lovers, etc. This is without mentioning his personal traits that make him somewhat unsavoury for a young group to be associating with.

I am a Carlton fan, I was a Fevola fan, but his capability for disruption exceeds a far greater scale than just his friends. He has contributed to derailing football clubs, ruining relationships - his own and other peoples, and has left a trail of destruction, now, at 2 clubs that affords him no sympathy in this regard.

This Carlton support network was there 3 years ago, and was obviously insufficient.

As Thy says, the answer lies outside of these measures that have been tried and tried without success.

He has far greater pillars of support that need to be established before his 'social' life needs to get back on track, and his rehabilitation with his family and his rehabilitation from alcohol dependancy and depression should come first.

Thanks mate, guess I should return the favour ; age 21.

Rumour: Another Saints scandal - captain sacked for cheating.

The jungle drums are beating that a former Saints B&F winner who played over 200 games was very recently sacked from his position as captain of a prominent private golf club after being caught cheating. Not a good look.

I have heard this story as well. He and his wife are bestfriends with another couple that golf at the same club. Anywho the former saints captain slept with the wife of the other couple, and had been doing for over several months, then one day he went to text her but accidentally texted his own wife. Was caught Nixon-handed
