In all honesty, I don't think he will be back - Freo looks like the winner there - but until there's a contract signed or a senior Carlton spokesperson categorically puts the question beyond doubt, I'm not giving up hope.

Maybe I hang around in the wrong circles, but all I have been hearing is the, let's get Fev back to Carlton, song.

I really wouldn't want to do a poll out there in the wider community on the strength of my sample.
If the club decided to put it out to its supporters, we're screwed.

What for? You seem to be ignoring the fact there's a very active debate about this issue not only here but in the media. Until there's some solid confirmation one way or the other, this horse is a length in front rounding the turn with three furlongs to go.

Not disputing that there is a debate out there about Fev coming back, just that it has no relevance to Carlton. That bridge was burned beyond repair.

Can see him ending up somewhere, however. Be a shame, and a waste, if he didn't. Doggies is the best fit. Rumours are rife on the Saints board that he is bound for St kilda, to much approval, but after the Lovett experience I can't see it. But its hard to argue with the boost his presence would give St Nick.

We have tried and given everyone a chance to debate the issue in a civilised manner, but unfortunately it didn't turn out that way, hence why threads have been locked.

The Club is on the eve of an exciting finals series and that is what we should be concentrating on.

I wish Brendan well in where his future takes him and I hope that he does get a chance to play AFL footy once again.
