Not necessarily numb3rs.

It all depends if other Clubs bid for him.

If not, we could use our 2nd or 3rd Rnd pick on Dylan.

Not sure of the rules as to which pick we can use for him if no other Club puts in a bid.

If no club puts in a bid for Buckley then we use our last pick in the National Draft.

Again I will say that Ratts will be our Coach next year.

KPI's for this year were
1. Did we make finals? :thumbsu:
2. Did we improve? :thumbsu:
3. Has the coach improved? :thumbsu:
4. Are the players playing for the coach?:thumbsu:
5. Do we have any excuses with injuries throughout the year? :thumbsu: to our bookend KPP's in Jamison and Waite. Also Bower, Russell, Hampson.
6. Have we coped with injuries? :thumbsu:
7. Have individuals improved a cog due to Ratts and the coaching staff? :thumbsu:
8. Did we get a home final? :thumbsu:
9. Will we win our first final? More than likely
10. Will we finish top 4 next year, I would say that there is not many people that will say no.

Ratts has done his job. Our greatest loosing margin this year has been 36 points to W.C, and our performances against the top 4 sides have been somewhat pleasing.

He will be there next year.

The main goal for the season was never to get a home final... it was to win a final and the last two years while we've made the finals we've fallen short both times so if this season is any different to the last two we need to win a final. If we fall to Essendon - our fiercest rival then the question begs to be asked.. Have we improved on the last two seasons? or are we still the same team that continues to drop games we shouldn't.

He hasn't done enough yet, his coaching career is on the line against Essendon.

About 6-8 weeks back, Swann came out and said that the winning a final KPI has been dropped due to the improvement in the team and the growth as a coach Ratten has shown.

Ratts job is pretty safe and it will take only an absolute disaster to see him lose his job.

Had lunch with officials from two clubs today, fair to say ratten in massive trouble even if we beat essendon.

Bookmark this, won't name replacement just yet but name is big and a surprise.
I won't believe it until Blueinblood posts said rumour and has at least one person thank him for his leeching.

Garbage that they would knife a coach who has the backing of the players.

Swanny only 4 weeks ago:

"something disastrous would have to happen for him not to get reappointed and I don't think that's going to happen".

I'll take that over some random club official rumour posted by a known Ratten hater.

Ratten will be fine.
If they got rid of him I'd be absolutely disgusted, I can't think of one other coach I'd like to see coaching next year at Carlton, and can't see how any coach could've done significantly better than Ratts this year.
We don't need that sort of turmoil at the club right now, leave that to the bottom clubs.

big name? given malthouse is almost certainly out of the picture and roos has definitely said no...that means eade.

Eade the man who had no youth policy, eade the man who couldnt make a grand final either, eade the man couldnt win a preliminary final. eade the man who took a team which made consecutive preliminary finals to finishing well outside the 8.

do. not. want.

Surely you're yanking our chains???
Pm me with details???
Go Blue baggers!!!!!!!!!!

RBIB is just doing his usual hate ratten and try and get more people on his agenda and try and force the club into getting rid of ratten with a groundswell of anti-ratts feeling.

There is nothing to this as Ratts has pretty much assured himself of a new contract after this years effort.

Bowls clubs?

Geoff Ratten?

Lose to Essendon Bowls Club? Those guys are known as the demons of Windy Hill and wouldn't bend over for the EFC.

Big name - Mick Molloy?

You should be posting in BigBowls, because BigFooty is not for you my friend.

I heard back in Nov last year that Ratten was likely gone and Malthouse would be the new coach in 2012. Have been derided many times on this board, but will be very interested to see what happens at year's end.

Someone decided before the year began that Ratten was gone? :o
