It's been the normal banter every trade week every year since 2002/2003.

I heard a rumour that Goddard was a very keen Blues fan before being drafted to the Saints.

Friend 'in the know' makes up crap about hopeful trades. -----------> Tells friends it came from a reliable source. -----------> One of those friends posts it on BigFooty. -----------> Ten others come forward and say they have heard the same. -----------> Rumoured trade doesn't happen. -----------> Supporters abuse the club for not taking the trade.

Personally, our best 22 is in a very good solid position. I feel our biggest problems is our depth and the development of the younger players. There is a decent sized void between our elite to our 2nd tier and definately bigger to the younger guys. If there is no realistic chance of landing a big fish relatively cheaply, I'd like us to focus on some depth players. Players that will be able to play multi-positional and we do not have to sell the farm for. But who? how and how much?

It will certainly be an interesting week next week. I do not think we all that busy and will concentrate on deveolpment. There's not too many players on our list now that I believe NEED to be traded.

There is a rumor on CSC that Carlton has a trade lined up for a player from West coast - doesn't name the player though. Apparently, Bower is the player who would be swapped in this deal.

Rumour on Talking Carlton that Danyle Pearce looks set to become a Blue. Apparently the source is a player manager.

Daniel Pearce has been mentioned a couple of times and I'm just wondering who and why would we want to trade for him.
There have now though been 2 sightings (?) of Bower in Adelaide.

The W.C. one may well be Koby Stevens and that would be fair enough.

I'll add Pearce then......

It was rumoured early in the year that HE, himself, contacted GWS to see if they were interested in taking him. Any information on what we will be giving up for him, I wouldn't be giving up too much for him, but if he came cheap I wouldn't mind giving him a shot.
