TG, am a huge fan of Hammer and want him to stay at Carlton


Also think his potential is unbelievable and he will tear it up one day


In many ways, he's one of the most exciting players going round. He started to relax in the second half on Sunday and did some very nice things, especially his handball receive in the centre of the ground and quick run into the forward line.


As a trade for 2010, i reckon the club will be putting Jacobs up before Hammer for 2 reasons (1) Jacobs is our number 1 at the moment which creates a perception that he is currently our best non-injured ruckman and hence probably holds more trade value, and (2) the potential in Hammer is too much to let go of

The question is whether clubs looking for a ruckman and looking for a ready made ruckman whose very serviceable, or a project ruckman who could be anything.

Most likely, clubs looking for a ruckman in trade week are looking for a "ready made"

I don't know how long this has been going on or why on earth she would want to do this but them's the facts. I know this from a women I work with who is friends with the guy thats with her. Not sure if it's finished now or if it played any part in the longer then expected signature for his contract but I hope everything works out ok for him regardless of him being a footballer it just isn't a nice thing to go through.

Find out tomorrow whether he's injured or not (ie. depends on whether he's in the Bullants) - seems odd that his dropping, if true, has come out on 3AW a day before the team comes out

Also, the Warnock selection has firm footing

A mate who is also a Carlton supporter told me that he had an inside source saying that Fisher and Bower were heading up the gold coast next year.

An anyone clarify this? what is the likeliness?

Not very.

Fisher is uncontracted but I don't see him leaving unless offered something too good to refuse.
Bower signed a 3 year deal last year I'm pretty sure.
 
Good to hear that Bower is unlikely to go as he is going to be a very important player for us.

Losing Fisher wouldn't be too bad because Ratten won't even give him a game anyway (maybe he knows that Fisher has already signed with GC17 and that is why he is not getting a game).

Why the hell would they have signed Fisher already?

i thought Fisher signed a two year contract last year??? if so, he is still under contract. can someone verify

Out of contract at the end of the year. If he can get a game in the last 5, I suppose he might be a chance of getting another contract. It would be good if he could play 2 more games, he deserves to get to 100.

I doubt it Stamos & the same goes for Wiggins.

They are both out of contract this year.

It's a good idea. I thought I would go to the Gold Coast also, but my wife and I went there a few years ago and didn't like it.
I think for our next holidays we might try Port Douglas. I hear that's not too bad.
Maybe I might see Bower & Fisher up there if they decide the Gold Coast is not what it's cracked up to be.
To bloody crowded and too many Tee Shirt shops.
Then again, they might decide to go to Fiji........they have good beaches as well:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Apparently Thornton called Ratten a ******** at training two weeks ago and was promptly dropped, and is now seeking a trade at seasons end.
