Not sure that's a problem. Chris Scott was younger off the top of my head.Foolish appointment from the start.
Was only 38 when he took the job.
Way too young.
Madden, Wellman, Campbell, Dodoro, Sheedy all need to go.
Can't just scapegoat a young coach and carry on pretending ur not to blame.
It's a bloody disgrace.
It's the top decision makers who need to be thrown out.
If I was a bomber Member I'd be fuming
So whatReeks of desperation from the Bombers after one big loss.
They did beat Sydney not long ago and should of persisted with Rutten.
Now will have to pay him out.
I'm shocked to be sitting hereSounds like Mahoney has lost out to Dodo as well

Anyone else think that Clarko might not be the real target here? Paving the way for the Messiah's return?
There’s absolutely no way this is all happening on the back of a single loss.Reeks of desperation from the Bombers after one big loss.

The rest is spot on
Dodoro strikes again this guy really is untouchable. It was only a couple of years ago they said it was worsfold holding them backGeez, that's stiff. Won 11 games in his 1st year in what was meant to be a year for bottoming out, didn't he?
Drug saga dirt. And he's willing to use it if required. That's poor from Essendon if true, he helped built the Dees premiership team together.
Makes you wonder what kind of dirt Dodoro has on the power brokers at Essendon if he survives this cull
My post got deleted for trolling, when I was serious. Is it not a fair point that this tumult is part of the legacy of drugs saga - a club doesn't recover from a crisis like that quickly? Like the infamous post-season camp taken by the Crows. It leaves scars.
The board, the administration and many of the fans did not fully reckon with and take responsibility for the doping scandal. Many still believe that nothing was awry and they were in fact victims. Not all, but many.
That needs to be dealt with, acknowledged, accepted, and owned, before the club can truely move forward.
I'm a management consultant who specialises in organisational culture from a board level down, if this is trolling then I guess my 40 year career has also been trolling, thank you moderators.
Will this increased chaos finally lead to stability? IMO, not without some self-reflection from the senior leaders who were around and therefore party-to the aforementioned disaster whose stench still fills the halls of Avalon.

Essendon's list may be slightly better but the club is a mess, at least North made a decision on the coach earlier, who sacks a coach with one round to go?If I was Clarko with the choice of the 2 lists, I would take Essendon over North
But both lists need to address holes
I think ur over estimating the bombers. There’s absolutely no way this is all happening on the back of a single loss.
Clarkson is a smart operator and I’d be staggered if this wasn’t the plan to begin with.
Or they haven't made a decision and it's still being discussed. Been absolute chaos today. Reckon every media outlet called the club to verify and the club just said 'no comment'.If it wasn't true they would have denied it by now
You’re probably right but I can’t imagine Clarkson would suddenly change his tune because of one result and you’re not sacking Rutten unless you’ve secured Clarkson.I think ur over estimating the bombers.

I’m not so sure do really want to go to a club that’s in such a mess off field the list manager and football gm hate each other there’s no president the board is a mess . At least there is only one way to go with northIf I was Clarko with the choice of the 2 lists, I would take Essendon over North

Essendons older brigade is the difference at the moment but as for youth coming through Norths is miles in front and are a season or 2 away from really breaking outSaw enough from North since they sacked Noble that they have quite a lot young talent to work with and mold
Essendon's probably is better at this stage, but not as much as you think, and has a lot more dead wood and older players to be expunged too.
If Dodoro stays on at Essendon, I probably honestly would pick the North (or Giants) coaching job, Dodo has too much power at the club and autonomy over list management issues

They have lots of average 1st rounders just because they were picked high doesn't mean they're any good nowIt's fascinating that the collective football world has decided that you need four centuries to work out if a coach is sh*t or not.
In this world, there are only Damian Hardwicks who will deliver premierships given enough time and no Mark Neelds. Somehow Truck is some innocent bystander who has nothing to do with how poor Essendon are.
Essendon's list may not be perfect but it's stocked full of early draft picks and there is plenty of talent there. There is no excuse for how rubbish they have been this year.
Clubs just sometimes need to cut their losses early and not throw good money after bad just hoping the guy will turn it around.
This is a bombers board not renowned for good decision making skills. You’re probably right but I can’t imagine Clarkson would suddenly change his tune because of one result and you’re not sacking Rutten unless you’ve secured Clarkson.
Although again, that’s me overestimating.
