Excellent win on the weekend lads and ladettes. We owed the Dragons one for knocking us out of the finals last week so revenge was on the cards.
The first Qtr was a pretty even affair with our more accurate kicking at goals giving us a 10 point lead at the first break. This was extended to 27 points by halftime with Matty411's effective ruckwork giving our mids better opportunities to keep the play in our forward half. Our pressure acts were magnificent this game, with none better than BEEG, who not only kicked a lazy 5 majors, but kept the pressure in the forward half at breaking point for the Dragons with some bone crunching tackles.
A dominant 3rd term saw us extend the margin to 57 points with great play from ctacp, ArgusTuft and Cheval starting to take control of the middle. The 4th Qtr was highlighted by the inevitable Dragons comeback, but we held off, broke their spirit and ran out 54 point winners.
BEEG with 5.4 and 4 tackles was a focal point yet again and ctcap with his 17 handballs creative. _Cayz_ and Tony Lynn 15 who have been enormous this season were relatively well held, but this just let midfield tyro's ArgusTuft and Cheval run riot, with Argie distributing the pill 27 times and Chev 23 times and a couple of majors to boot.
Not to let a down day inhibit his value to the team, Tony Lynn 15 laid 8 hard tackles to play his part in rattling the Dragon mids. It was great to see arrowman have his best game for the season with 23 and 2 goals but the stand out again, in what must be an ALL-SFA defining performance was Matty411 who absolutely controlled the ruck with 16 hit out, 28 disposals and 2goals when drifting forward.
