Can you guys see him playing after his club suspension is over?

And also your thoughts on him as a player.

With players like Nablett and Hawkings coming through will he feature when his suspension over?

He'll be straight back in. He has been dominating the VFL, playing better than he ever has and is fitter than he ever has been.

He is an impact player. He's the perfect foil to some strong key forwards like Mooney and Nathan Ablett.

Yeah, I think he'll come straight back in, providing his form isn't shocking in the twos.
Problem is though, it's not as cut and dry as it once was. With the key forwards now looking solid, and with newies like Varcoe and Stokes beginning to shine, SJ's 'assured' position isn't looking so definite anymore... which overall is a good thing!:thumbsu:

If he keeps up his VFL form and doesn't do anything stupid he probably will come straight in in Rd7

Good player when he puts his mind to it.At times he can piss you off by farting around doing fancy arsed selfish things.

He's not competing for a spot with them. It's players like Gardiner and Varcoe he is competing with and he'd be a fair way ahead of them.

He will replace Charlie Gardiner (thank god) as the medium forward.

On paper it sounds alright, but Gardiner is used as the lead up the ground forward. You dont want Johnson doing that, you want him.. doing whatever the hell he wants basically.

Who then performs Charlies role? I would suggest Nathan Ablett.

Agree with all that.

Mooney would be a better option since most opposition players run away when they realize who he is :D

SJ has been playing up the ground in the magoos and has been doing well at it from what I hear (I've only watched the Sandy match) so he should do alright.

Anyone know where i can get VFL Stats from? What club does he play for ;)
Surprisingly, he plays for Geelong.

Like every Geelong AFL-listed player does.

It's not like the WAFL mate.

wasn't his suspension to round 5 so he can play round 6 ?

for mine johnson comes straight back into the team, and is clearly in our best 22.

Yeah ive been confused whether he is back round 6 or 7. All the talk in the media lately is he come back Round 6.

This ambiguity is a good thing, leaves the selectors room to move when it comes to deciding when suspension is up!!
