i think you are a bit harsh on wiggins in particular he has something you can't teach and that is heart.

these guys all taken in second half of draft. add to this some reasonable trades such as picking up scotland, mcgrath, stevens, mclaran, french, teague

Hughes' recruiting seems to be paying dividends with the likes of Walker, Bentick, Carazzo, Murphy all looking the goods. With another of his protege's in Kennedy debuting this week, his strike rate seems to be quite good.

I mean I am all for opinions and free expression and what not but you start another negative thread about your own club referring to one player who is long gone and another three who were recruited by someone else. So you have 1 out of 5 that are relevant and he is a second year player.

tough words buddy...yes i am a carlton supporter thru and thru....this was not to bag the team and i couldnt care less when and who recruited them. the fact is that with these guys comin in and out of the team (or attempting to) along with the likes of teague, chambers, deluca, davies, etc etc etc...we're goin nowhere. hope is one thing but reality is another. we are not as good as you guys think. i hope they win every week but not with this list and the way theyre playin at the mo. yes confidence is down but we need pain to gain. finish low (not that we have a choice), get picks and DRAFT WELL....move forward. thats it.

you "couldn't care less when and who recruited them" ... yet you title your topic "sack the recruiting staff" ... seems a contradiction to me.

If you haven't yet realised, Wayne Hughes recruited Russell from your list, not the others. His selections have hardly had enough time to be judged.

"we're not as good as you guys think" ... I don't think we're good ... infact I know we are shyt. Yes, we have to continue to draft well and develop the young players we've got but it is impossibly to delist half the side. These things take time. If it was easy, all struggling teams would be able to turn it around quickly. The fact it, it's a long long process to rebuild a list. There are numerous examples of other sides in the competition right now who are 3/4/5 years ahead of us in terms of development and they are still frustrating their supporters.
